Big if true. A lot of absolute nonsense going on with pathetic rules.
Salatin is a hell of a salesman and writer, but he is right on with the inner working bs within usda

Fantastic. Salatin is the guru of small-scale farming and local agriculture, and he has been screaming for USDA reform for decades. One of the major ideas he pushes is that the USDA basically makes it impossible for small farms to compete with corporate operations by piling on so much regulation. This, in turn, increases reliance on inefficient supply chains that drive up the cost of food and make us less food resilient as a country.
Also: He's not a dumb hippy activist farmer. He's old school, pushing common sense methods and permaculture approaches that our grandparents used to grow nutrient-dense food in a cost-efficient manner.
He has a good YouTube Channel
God, they must be shitting bricks at USDA this afternoon.

This is awesome . There will be some good big changes . Salatin seem to always have something to say about the government waste and red tape .

Because a lot of their programs have nothing to do with agriculture. They handle rural housing and utility co-ops.
