Joe Biden Refuses To Rule Out Adding SCOTUS Justices: ‘Let Me Tell You Why I’m Not Going to Answer That Question’
Former Vice President Joe Biden pointedly refused to say whether he would consider adding Supreme Court justices if President Donald Trump and the Republican Senate push through a replacement for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg before Election Day.
On Monday, Biden conducted several interviews with local media in Wisconsin, including with Brittany Schmidt of ABC affiliate WBAY’s Action 2 News. Schmidt asked Biden about the prospect of responding to a Trump pick by adding more justices to the court.
“If Trump’s Supreme Court pick goes through but you win the election, democrats take over Senate and maintain the House, would you consider adding more supreme court justices to the bench?” Schmidt asked.
“It’s a legitimate question, but let me tell you why I’m not going to answer that question,” Biden told Schmidt. “Because it will shift the focus, that’s what he wants, he never wants to talk about the issue at hand and he always tries to change the subject.

Trump needs make Joe's answer a new part of his speeches at campaign rallies.

It only shifts the focus if the answer is 'yes.'
So there you have it. Plus, what Joe would want is irrelevant. There's little doubt that Harris would be all aboard stacking the court, and she would be in office by the end of 2021 in all likelihood.

Umm. It seems that is very much the issue at hand.

Says Joe, to shift the focus because he doesn't want to answer the direct question about himself and hopes to change the subject to Trump

There isn't a way doing this wouldn't end with stacked bodies.
And the irony of the people yelling fascism floating pulling the plug on one of the branches to institute one party rule is amazing.
I dont think its a viable path. The mentally ill (Democrats) are just rightfully in a tizzy over getting tackled from behind at the 1 yard line as the clock hits 00:00.

I swear, if I were Trump I'd be thanking the Democrats and members f the press for floating this idea...then suggest that when he wins and holds the senate he'll add several additional justices since they seem to think it's such a swell idea.
Maybe break up a few deep red states into 2 and add a few senate seats as well...

What a dumb answer. It's not trump trying to change the discussion. Democrats brought that forward and have been pushing for it for a while.

Trump needs to hammer Biden on this in the debate and make him come out for or against court packing.

Answering the question this way shifts the focus, you stupid frick.

Trump's team needs to save all these tweets, videos, and articles so when he wins in November and GOP keeps the senate, Trump can hint that he may be looking to add SCOTUS justices. Then we can have another round of "look at the hypocritical left."

Well, he’s prolly lost the ability to do basic math, like addition, so there’s that...

Its a damn good thing he won't rule it out. It ain't gonna happen unless the GOP suffers a sizeable defeat in November and loses the Senate....but if that does happen and the Democrats do not load the courts they will be doing a grave disservice the majority of people who bother to cast a vote in a presidential election. Half the current justices were appointed by presidents who could not garner enough popular vote to win election. It will soon be 5 of nine. IN order to protect the disenfranchised multitudes who find, as a result of lines on a map, that there vote is only worth 20% of other voters in this country, in some cases, and worth nothing in others because they are not allowed representation at all, the democrats should, at their earliest opportunity, stack the bench.

Do you realize how your side has turned the SCOTUS into another legislative branch instead of an additional check and balance to the other two?

Did Biden just change the subject by bringing up how Trump just wants to change the subject all the time? That's some inception level shite right there. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but it appears he's trying his hand at that 3d chess

Remember. If they don't get their way, they try to change the rules. There are children running the left.

That is a trick bag for him. MAKE HIM ANSWER!

Packing the court with justices is what FDR tried to do in the 30s to get some of his New Deal stuff approved. It backfired on him tremendously with even other Democrats distancing themselves from him over it.
