Im more worried about OP if he read that release and thinks Joe Biden wrote it.

The early morning part is factually correct.
Because we all know the real sky screamers don’t even roll out of bed til at 10AM. …

I think most reasonable people on both sides of the aisle understand Joe is, at best, of below average mental competence at this point. I'd further argue most people assume he has a group that provides more help with these things than the average president. That being said, I'm not sure how many presidents would be able to have an in detail conversation, much less actionable opinions, on AI.

I guess you could be deliberately obtuse. That's fine, no need to address the topic at all, evade and act dumb.

So take something that would analyze facts and program in bias so it will be more objective. Sounds very equitable but not so much equal.
Civil rights acts and distribution of welfare is inherently bias. Having that bias built into AI is a logical expansion. The argument against the bias itself has merit, but crying about the administration covering blindspots is fake outrage.

Agree. I think the same could be said about most posters on TD. There is BS in this EO but there are needed standards being established around AI. Reminds me of what they intended for FedRAMP

I feel like 1984 was written as a warning, yet this administration is using it as a handbook.

These should really be deemed unconstitutional because, as we've seen, they can no longer be undone by a president's successor.

Article II gives POTUS the power to direct federal officials/agencies to take actions (based on an interpretation of enacted law) without approval by Congress. The check against this is Congress can pass new law to invalidate the EO or refuse to fund it. The Judicial can declare the order unconstitutional.
EOs are here to stay and unfortunately each side loves them when they're up at bat.

AI is based on historic data to project futures. The laws weren’t really equal so it does make it challenging for some races vs others on predictions.

Because computers aren't indoctrinated and fear no reprisals. They just look at facts. Ibram et al thinks this will lead to racism. Hmmmmm.

Don't facts always lead to racism?
Look at facts on who commits the vast majority of violent crime...oh wait. I get it now.

Bro why do you even care? There is no racism against white people bro. Just right wing rage porn, bro.

Yes some of us don’t like racism. You wouldn’t understand that concept.

First post in this thread that gets it.
This isn't about excluding whitey. It's about suppressing pattern recognition.
If the judicial system and police forces were run on AI, it would be 1000x more "racist" than the current system.
