“I paid an extra $20 on gas this month! Damn Trump. Time to give the democrats the senate for 6 years…
"On top of the extra $50/mo I've already been paying for the last 8 months, on top of the extra $150/mo I'm paying for groceries, on top of the extra $100/mo im paying for insurance, on top of all the other expenses that have gotten more expensive,"
Maybe you're they one who's shortsighted. Fact of the matter is things are harder for a lot of people out there, and Trump and the Republicans have done nothing to make it easier. The Democrats aren't going to make it any better but the sooner Trump and the Republicans realize what the average person's priorities are and stop trying to blame anyone and anything else, the better.

Now imagine all of that and your income taxes go up. If Dems win in 2028 you absolutely will see your taxes go up and theres a century of evidence to back up that statement.

Consumer spending is the highest it’s ever been.
Maybe more folks need to cut back and focus on the necessities.
That new Apple Watch can wait until next month.
No you don’t need a 2027 truck when you have a 2024.

How many of those jobs are minimum wage or low paid gig work? Relative to inflation, salary also matters... as does those who leave the workforce.

What types of jobs?
Posted on 11/6/26 at 9:57 am to The Pirate King
What you said about average jobs net gain (I’m assuming that 86k stat includes revisions, you tell me) doesn’t conflict with what I said at all! I even said this job report is a great one.
-He said, it’ll get revised down.
-You said, here’s one month when it didn’t.
-I said, here’s the 22month average of said revisions (which is down).
If your intellectual depth is only anecdotes, I don’t know what to tell you man.

The only thing you can do is speak here and hope he soaks up some of your sage wisdom!
You had better monetize it. Things are going to get bleak but you showed Trump!

Bingo.
And let me add
1) cutting back on eating out at restaurants
2) buying $7 coffee at Starbucks
3) dumping the boat or jet skis
Etc

Yeah Don Jr can get fricked. He’s part of the group trying to remove his dad.
he is running with an excuse he hopes will fly like JD vance so they can run for office later. it is the easier excuse than saying this country is going to shite with commies and socialists.
he knows this was no real war. no real battles. no 20 year occupation like W and obama had. he knows overall gas was higher under biden

these gas prices ain't shite. it is an excuse.
was 4 a gallon in 2008. can you imagine if it rose like all other goods and services did the last 18 years?
government cannot control prices. unless we are communist.
nobody cried over the new jobs added or unemployment rate. or inflation going from 11% to about 3 now. what was it? 1.9% first term?
gas money does not come close to home prices, vehicle prices, insurance and healthcare for most. if u wanna bitch....those are the things to bitch about. especially not repealing obamacare.

Average gas prices under Trump are slightly higher than they were under Biden’s full term. Peak prices under Trump have been below Biden’s peak.
We should probably just ignore diesel though since it craters the narrative.

Yes, we're aware that Biden inherited lower gas prices from Trump and screwed it up. You don't have to keep saying it.

Precisely why i said voting for democrats isnt going to fix anything. But everyone responding to me are just proving my point. Instead of acknowledging that things are rough for people and the current strategy isnt working, yall are just doubting down and sticking your head in the sand. "Dont rent, buying is cheaper" telling that to the 28yr old who is looking at 300k for a house while making 60k/yr, while having to pay 1500/mo for rent in the meantime, is going to give you just what happened last week.

quote:Yeah, you're confusing that with the Biden administration, which demonstrated the chronic, updated down numbers.
Just wait till 2 months go by and they adjust way down again....
Trump has at least tried to clean this up when he took office. But I understand, you are having to pay more at the pump and are distracted.
