At least Jimmy was somewhat relevant. Rosie hasn’t done shite since her old talk show in the late 90s-early 2000s?
Even if the pre-cursor to a replacement was being of the progressive persuasion wouldn’t Marc Maron or, hell, raising Colbert from a television grave make more sense?
I doubt he’d ever do it and if he did not sure how he’d do in a host-guest situation but I’d like to see Bargatze have a shot. I think he would bring eyes and he might be a good/fun interviewer.
We need Craig Ferguson now more than ever.
