Jim Jordan is 100% compromised…..he will vote for McCarthy as speaker if R’s take house.

I listened to the replay of Jordan on Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo. Maria asked Jordan point blank if he would vote to put McCarthy back in the speaker of the house leadership role and Jordan responded paraphrased,

“If McCarthy is the coach that gets team R the victory to control the House then McCarthy should remain the coach.”

And there ^^^^ you have it. Most of us think of Jordan as a fireball disrupter but he has no problem putting McCarthy right back in control of Congress…..even after McCarthy was cooperating with Liz Cheney to undermine Trump’s claims of innocence in the Faux January 6th Insurrection.

If the Republicans don’t hold a 20 seat advantage come January of 2022, McCarthy should be drawn and quartered. Figuratively.

Both house and the White House. In fact, just wipe DC off the map and start over.

I just lost a lot of respect for Jordan. He has been on of my favorites.
His rationale is stupid too.....McCarthy isn't the coach that gets them to victory, it is the total destruction that the Dems have done to our country both nationally and locally that will give the R's the victory. It was very little to do with the minority leader doing a superb job that creates a victory for some republicans.

Well, as long as DC is 97% Democrats we are screwed . Perhaps a meteor or move our Congress to Fla. would help.

Many on this forum talk about congressional term limits…..there are scant few members of Congress who would voluntarily screw themselves out of their self enrichment/political influence peddling scams.

sadly - I agree

I felt Jordon was one of the clearest eyed members in all of congress. I just dont get the respect for McCarthy.

This.

He acts like the GOP is actually accomplishing something to attain victory, when all they’re doing is just what they always do…sitting back and playing stooge while the Democrats sink themselves. It’s actually the height of arrogance when you think about it.

I honestly believe these people go to Washington to do good, but are quickly corrupted before they even take their oath on the 1st day.

A lot of these politicians rely heavily on the finances coming from the RNC and cannot afford for the RNC to primary them out...plus, they pocket a shitload and would lose it if they didnt fall in line.

Sucks and wish it wasn't that way, but until corruption and lining the pockets of these turds comes to an end, the swamp will continue to get bigger

I've been advocating for distributing the FEDERAL government offices across the nation. Let every dept be housed in the state that most representative of the responsibility they have. Put as much of it across the nation as possible.

Decapitate this 'good ol boy's' club and make the federal workers live in the real world.

In this day of zoom calls, they don't have to be within walking distance of each other.

Set uo a dormitory housing for congress - require that they be there in order to vote. But discourage them from living there. Make their families live in the districts/states they represent.

DISCOURAGE any benefits of 50 year tenures in congress.

or certainly within a month of taking that oath - when the 'leaders' explain what they have to do if they can ever expect to have any influence - serve on good committees - get help in their re-election efforts, etc.

I hope he is just spewing shite on TV.

He is (was?) One of the very few good guys we need.

If a swamp rat is in charge, I fear congressional hearings won't happen, impeachments womt happen, etc

Cruel and unusual punishment. Wouldn't it simply be kinder and more ethical to leave Pelosi in as speaker?

It's become a sad state of affairs in Congress within the Republican Party. The only time we've had some backbone was when Mega Trump was in office, but even his time was limited because of all the attacks on him. We elect conservatives to control the spending (joke) in the House and Senators to control our borders/world affairs (then we end up with a Rino (like Cassidy)

They haven’t said a word about anything since 2016 except a few Judas comments about Trump.

Amazing unless you realize they are all on the same team.
