Until Landry actually stands up and starts to shift this state in a positive direction, IDGAF what he thinks about anything.
Go after the idiots that are selling our state to lobbyists and lawyers, not the women's basketball team that has yet to do something like this before. Dumbass

This would be an acceptable excuse if they weren't told when the anthem was being played. I seriously doubt that happened. These events are scripted.
Another idiot
Last night - LSU had the whole court to warm up and did so, then Iowa had the whole court and LSU went into the locker room - then the Anthem was played - Iowa just stayed out there
Then both teams ran out and their starting lineup was announced
In the USC/Uconn game neither team was on the court

quote:Or just don't have this performative nonsense as part of sporting events.
People shed blood so that these athletes could play these sports on a massive stage with all the freedoms and privileges that come with it. It's absolutely disrespectful and disgraceful that teams aren't out there showing their gratitude for these sacrifices. That these players and teams can't sacrifice 1 minute and 43 seconds of their precious time to show that respect is shameful.
It doesn't matter if it is for a protest or not. What's relevant is the disrespect of not standing with everyone else for the flag, the anthem and the people who sacrificed.

Politicians need to stay out of sports, they are why the NFL is transitioning to flag football

Too much money involved
In what? 30 and 50 years ago teams didn’t come out for the anthem in football when their was a fraction of the money involved
Stop being stupid

Landry will be a laughing stock by the time his term is done.

SEC football teams always come out after the anthem. It has never been an issue

Not being on the court with the audience and other team standing for the national anthem is indeed disrespectful.

would you rather them kneel and disrespect the anthem, or for them not to be on the court at all?
What's the point in forcing them to be in attendance if they will just pull a Kaepernick?
They were retards in the first place for kneeling to follow in the footsteps of a guy who was just acting out because he wasn’t going to start anymore.
Now it’s even more foolish especially since the country they hate so much got one of their own out of Russia for arrogantly breaking their laws.
They should absolutely be penalized if they do anything but stand for the anthem.

Because you're not in the presence of the event. That's understood.

How about we just stop playing the national anthem at sporting events.

I'm starting to believe this was all just an unfortunate overblown mistake.

Why stop there? Stand there and make sure they sing loud enough with sufficient joy and patriotism in their hearts. To the gulag with them if they don’t!

Mulkey said in the press conference that they return to the locker room for pregame and come out when announced.
