I can’t stand Kennedy.
Landry may come across as an idiot, but from my encounters with him and his people, he is genuine and really means well. He actually personally read and responded to every letter he recieved as a Congressman. I sent him one of those letters, but I lost his response in the flood last year

Landry’s about as honest and forthright a politician as you can find in this state. Kennedy is a lying snake in the grass.

I have a hard time believing Kennedy struck a deal with Landry. He isn't afraid of him running, Kennedy would beat him everywhere outside of Acadiana.

But Kennedy can run and keep his seat, if he loses. Landry possibly loses that office altogether

So he would be as big a disaster and as the last phony religious one, Jindal?

I liked him okay as a legislator but as an Attorney General he's a complete fraud. Had no business even running with his utter lack of experience and doesn't have a clue what he's doing.

Governor? No matter how inevitable that may be, its still fricking pathetic. I maybe would even vote for Edwards over him.

This thread is absolutely disappointing as it's best evidence to date that Louisiana conservatives could have not learned a damn thing at all after the debacle that was the 2015 election.

JBE is the most liberal governor we've ever had and he's a moron that has no concept of money and budget and is constantly seeking new way to steal money out of our wallets with absolutely nothing to show for it besides more waste and grift and is chasing jobs and economic capital out of this state with those taxes, more red tape his administration is putting in and giving out lawsuits to his trial lawyer buddies.

And you people say you would vote for him just because someone who opposes all of that makes you feel queasy and isn't tasteful and country club enough for you?

Especially on a board full of Trumpkins that would take a punch for the man himself?

I myself would very much rather Scalise or Kennedy but if it comes down to it, I will vote for Jeff Landry against JBE with no hesitation at all.

It's cute how you ignore that personnel is policy.

And make no mistake about it, JBE is the wrong personnel and his economic ignorance needs to be sent home to amite.

I'm not a JBE fan but the "mess" he has made is largely overblown. This state isn't any worse off than it was a few years ago and I don't think the anger that exists here is representative of the general public. It'll take an actual good Republican candidate to win, not some empty suit.

Agree with Sentrius.

Pretty much anything would be an upgrade over TPOS JBE.

Has LA learned nothing?

I would take Governor Blank Stare over him any day of the week. At least she couldn't get anything done.

Even EWE wasn't as progressive as JBE is.

The medicaid expansion alone is going to crater the budget and now we're one one of the most highly taxed states in the country with nothing to show for it at all.

Actually it is as Louisiana is one of the worst states to do business now and JBE isn't helping by constantly attacking the largest private employer in this state.

I don't think the anger that exists here is representative of the general public.

Louisiana has been politics'd out after 3 straight years of elections from 2014-2016 and the state media fluffing JBE up isn't helping things too.

And even with that, his approval rating has actually fallen from anywhere from several to ten points in the past couple months and that's with him hiding like a motherfricker and the state media doing everything they can to fluff him up.

The anger is slowly burning and it will be pretty close to a bon fire in a year.

I agree but it will also take voters that has the right priorities as well because you're voting for a Governor, not a sunday school teacher. The wallet comes first.

And that reminds me that it was and still is hypocritical as frick how I saw so many Trumpkins going all in on bashing Vitter and shilling for a guy who not only votes for but shills for Obama and Hillary.

Morons.
