The former Speaker (Paul Ryan) said he thought there was a slate of candidates other than Trump who could be the party's 2024 pick. He named Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, former UN ambassador and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as possible choices.

I laughed when Jeb endorsed Ron.. it's just words and Ron has no control over that (unless he asked for that endorsement?).
But when Jeb started fundraising for Ron.. that's an issue. Uniparty isn't going to support someone who isn't going to support continuing the Uniparty game. He won't be able to avoid Uniparty control if he accepts their support now, even if he wants to.
A DeSantis presidency would be good, Reaganesque even. The economy would improve, the border might even be closed since Latinos are swinging red. But the FBI and CIA will remain in place. The surveillance state will continue to grow. The FED will remain. The globalist push for digital currency and ID will not be stopped.
But we will have the illusion of a huge win.

And the never Trumpers and Desantis "NOW" supporters will sit out or vote for the Dems if Trump wins in the primary. Then blame it on Trump when the Dems wins.
The Trump fans will take his primary as it should be, and support and vote for Desantis. Then the Desantis fans will come out with "told you he could win" gloating when he wins.

I'm not anti DeSantis or Trump I like both candidates, but I really don't think DeSantis is in bed with the Bushes. Especially after his COVID response and all the heat he took. Bushes were lined up to board the COVID train.

Don't know where Desantis is with all of this, but Jeb did do a campaign dinner for him. Desantis is building up GOPe money that he didn't need for his Gvnr race.
It's something to keep tabs on for sure. That's all at the moment.
