Same. He;s a fricking caricature of a person and there is nothing genuine or real about him.

Sure, but Vance is getting credited as this based, return to tradition nationalist and it’s all clearly such bullshite, much like Obama being hope and change.

Yeah probably, at least to some extent.

But why is Vance in the deep weeds on this stuff/integralism/Christian nationalism when it's an outlier group of the far right and not even really necessary/helpful to pick up the MAGA crowd?

Ultimately, I think the idea that Vance is a very smart guy who is playing a part has plenty of legs, but to what end on this part?

Errewere explained it the other day. Someone like Charlie Kirk had an optimistic message for the 18-30 year old white male. I'm guessing some have moved to Fuentes.

You call a white kid who is now 18, who spent his entire life being told he was privileged, had to score higher and get better grades than most, simply to get into a better college, then he graduates, and is unable to find a job that he is qualified for because DEI, can't get a good paying job, can't get a home, can't start a family...

Call him a racist after all that shite.

OR

Don't take his life experience seriously and still call him racist.

You will lose him forever.

In fairness, you're probably not racist. You're more than likely just stupid.

One day I remember driving out of my neighborhood and there was this guy with an Infowars flag hanging on his house.

You're like that guy. Isn't that hilarious?

it’s completely insincere IMO. He compared Trump to Hitler when the MAGA movement was more Bannon than big tech. I don’t trust the guy as far as I can throw him

This very thread will be nexus of the problems this board will face in another year/year and a half when these candidates are gearing up for a '28 run.

It will be the Ronbot vs MAGA redux

This is the first TD thread where my response was actually deleted. Must have some NF sympathizers as mods.

The reality is that our options will be:

Rubio - Won't run if Vance does so probably moot. Probably an effective leader/manager. Good enough ideologically. But lots of traditional GOP (deep state, if you will) ties.

DeSantis - Elite manager. Strong ideologically. One of the few state leaders to start talking about how far conservatives should go in attracting business/transplants who will not uphold the state's values. But I don't think he's well positioned to challenge this time, and if he did, he'd have to take on a ton of bad (ie, GOPe) baggage to do it.

Vance - Perhaps the weakest managerial resume. Unclear leadership abilities. Extremely in the weeds on the new, postlib, nationalistic/semi-blood/soil right. Obviously that's countered (for some) by marrying an Indian woman who isn't a Christian convert.

Solid breakdown.

Pending the results of the midterms, Rubio is probably the one that has the best chance to win. Vance is going to get hammered from both directions, something that didn't happen with Trump. Vance resonates with a lot of middle aged online guys, but don't think he pulls the non-online folks in like Trump can do.

DeSantis would likely make a great president, but think he gets crushed because of how smug he can come across.

All 3 of these guys on paper is a stronger crop of candidates than what the DNC has to offer.

I actually agree here. JD has been saying and doing the right things, but I still remember Trump's last VP. I'm not going to trust anyone around him until I see someone complete their term without stabbing him in the back. Plus the dude levelled a lot of vitriol at Trump in the past.

I'm not saying I hate the guy. I'm neutral until I see him complete his term without trying to frick Trump over.

Fuentes excites the hopeless dweebs who have a lot of anger because they have such a narrow view of the world.

Charlie pushed hope and faith in yourself, Fuentes manipulates using fear and biases

Sheep like to be manipulated. They cant function without someone else telling them how to think.

Cant figure out why some folks think Ron is too smug but Trump isnt.

There are valid concerns about his personality, but in comparison hes a saint to Donny

For the record, I don't think he comes across as smug, I am bigly on the DeSantis team.

Trump comes across as a brash baw but DeSantis comes across as a smug elite, even on the 98% of the time that they are saying the same thing. Trump talks in a way that the average redneck can get behind while DeSantis can come across as a bit elitist sounding.

The people on the Left don't like either, so that is a statement about just the GOP base in mind.
