I’m a very right wing conservative. I will never vote Democrat in anything. My fiancé, who’s in law school and hard to argue with, is “moderate”. She believes JBE has done a good job working with both Republicans and Democrats. Every site I’ve found is more opinion and not fact.

Does anyone have a site or link to another post here that details JBE’s failures more?

Here is where our state stands in the USA.

And before she gives you some bullshite line about this being Jindal's fault, please remind her that JBE was a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives for 8 years from 2008-2016 before he was governor and from 2012-2016 he was house minority leader. So he failed as a state Rep and then he failed as governor.

If she still doesn't understand tell her to explain why this post is wrong to you and post that explanation here. I'll happily dispute it.

States ranked by education:
Louisiana is 48

States ranked by economic stability and potential:
Louisiana 49

States ranked by energy, transportation, and infrastructure:
Louisiana 48

States ranked by upward mobility and economic opportunities:
Louisiana 50

States ranked by public safety and corrections :
Louisiana Ranked 50

That should be good enough for you.

You don't need a list of specific JBE failures. That's not the correct way to view this. As a lawyer in training she should be able to view arguments from all sides and understand how to properly frame questions. If she can't do this, she should ask for her money back from her lawschool.

Your fiancé is a fricking moron. And this doesn't bode well for your decision making capabilities. Tell her to list his successes and his bipartisan efforts. That should make for a laugh.

Our taxes are among the highest, our insurance rates are among the highest, businesses won't come here because of our government so the college grads all leave. Companies are getting perpetually sued and losing millions. 15% of Lamar's billboards are personal injury attornies. What does that tell you?

We can't even build a fricking airport.

Ask her to find a public GOP endorsement of JBE that didn’t come from someone with a financial or employment stake in endorsing him.

Ask her if she knows why we had so many special sessions last year. He likes to say the sales tax increase was a bipartisan job working with a GOP legislature. If she believes that, she’ll probably believe every criminal who says they’re innocent.

Ask her if he’s so bipartisan and above petty DC politics, why does he hurt Louisiana citizens by withholding infrastructure funds just because their GOP legislator had the nerve to oppose parts of his agenda.

We LOST population under JBE.

Our economy trails the nation, the south and even our neighboring states like Arkansas and Mississippi!!

Mississippi for god's sake!!!

And it's because of the energy slump. We trail Texas (of course) and Oklahoma.

I think this is huge. I don't understand why this wasn't pointed out at every opportunity.

Because the media (particularly the Advocate) is JBE's lapdog.

Tell her that’s the reality.

With the help of the media he created a huge crisis by submitting a budget short 2 Billion dollars and warned us that if taxes weren’t raised to fund his budget in full then LSU and granny were in jeopardy.

The msm carried his water for him and conservatives elected to come along instead of demanding a smaller tax increase with budget cuts.
