JBE voters that voted for Trump but are/have voted for JBE, genuinely curious how it works

It has been brought to our attention that there is a large section of Trump voters that are or have voted for JBE in this reelection. Mainly I have been told because they just don’t like Rispone- speech/ voice pattern etc.
I have spoke to a few people that fall into this category. I am having the hardest of times trying to figure these people out.
You have in JBE a person that openly admits to having voted for Hillary Clinton.
In order to vote for someone, one has to assume that the voter aligns themselves with many- not all necessarily- views that the candidate stands for.
So using this as the hypothesis, one would deduct that by voting for HRC, that JBE aligned himself with more of the her views than Trumps- immigration, economic policy, foreign policy etc.
So my question to you people that fall into voted for Trump but are now voting for JBE, how are you not tacitly supporting some of the policy positions of HRC?
It’s actually quite the mental hurdle that you must grapple with. I don’t understand the mental gymnastics that has led you down this path.
The only thing that I can’t deduce from my exposure to these people - who were all ranging in ages from 55-70- is that they were “blue -dog” Democrats still clinging to that party that in reality does not exist any longer.
It’s two sides that are polar opposites in every way.
Absolutely makes no sense.
JBE is an HRC supporter. Jesus people use your heads.

It's not a large segment at all - in fact it was only 12% in that poll that came out yesterday.

Bro 12% is a lot in a statewide election.
12% is a shite ton

True that it makes no sense.
AND when the US electorate eventually votes FOR authoritarian international socialism, THAT won't make sense either.
And yet, here we are.

They both love to sue people. I haven't understood how Trump Supporters and JBE detractors rectified that conflict.

how many are Abraham voters who were turned off by the Rispone attack ad during the primary?

It still doesn't make sense. I'd just not vote rather than vote for someone of the opposite party that holds opposing viewpoints.

Holding different viewpoints on issues that have zero bearing on Louisiana is irrelevant to his position as Governor.

I don’t fall in that group but i know people that do. Many are one issue voters, ie 2A guns.
Many in the LP or Bossier are socially conservative but adownright socialist when it comes to economics - think Teamster union types. Guys like this voted Trump and JBE.

I don't know but they should all vote for JBE and Joe Biden just for spite, right?

My father falls into this category. Old school democrat who despised Hillary...voted for Trump but sees JBE as a moderate.

I know young Republicans that say this. I want to beat their arse for being so blind.

Some voters are fricked up.

When you realize that Rispone sounds like he is Trump and the issues facing LA are not the same as those facing the country at large. Also not a completely blind follower of the tribe especially when the local chieftains have proven to be so inept in running things. Yeah JBE may have raised sales taxes but the Republicans were all for it. I believe that if you leave things to the current crop of LA Republicans your outcomes would have been no better. They had opportunities to do tort reform 10 years ago and did not and then mismanaged the budget by repealing the Stelly Plan which was the one sane tax things the state politicians did in 50 years. Rispone and his buddy Grigsby supported some of the stupid shite. I voted Vitter in 2015 even though I found him to be a bad retail candidate who could not garner support of the Republicans in the state legislature because he alienated just about all of them in the previous 25 years. Until LA Republicams get someone who knows what he or she is doing I won't give them my vote for governor. Federal positions are different because the reality is that compared to the national Democrats JBE is downright RINO establishment.

I believe half of the people who do this do so just so they can say they’re independent/ non partisan.

I'm genuinely curious why you think JBE is not a moderate Democrat
