Honestly the majority of voters don't give a frick about how good or bad of a job JBE has done. They just know he's better than the governor before him and that will get his vote, mostly because he hasn't severely fricked shite up

I think 45.5 or so, but he's done. After the jungle primary, I don't care if it's Rispone or Abraham, they'll crush him. People not from LA have no idea how this fraud won last time, it was a PERFECT storm. He presented himself as some conservative military guy, while the other two GOP guys were complete frauds and backstabbers to the people of the state. It won't happen this time. Once the runoff is set, and the Trump Train comes down to rally, JBE will be run over like the opossums on a rural highway. It can't come soon enough !

$6 billion? From where? I'm asking how much have taxes increased under Edwards. What tax did Edwards raise to bring in this $6 billion you mentioned?

Why are Scalise and Kennedy and other incumbent republicans so quiet? They should be doing something.

Shhhh. The republican leadership actually knows JBE is going to win. Going up against JBE as an incumbent was too much of a fight this year, so they ride it out and put up their guy in four years. That’s why Abraham has no money or support. I know this won’t go over well in this echo chamber, but it’s republicans playing the long game. Focus on filling the legislature this year, then slide in for 2024-2032 so there is an R as governor with a loaded house/senate.

$1,000 each. It's the first one in years

That’s two per cent for a teacher making 50K a year. It doesn’t go far considering higher taxes people pay now.

Taxing us to death? How much have taxes increased

State taxes increased about 15% at one time then they rolled off and Edwards put some back on,

I’m guessing when Edwards finished it was about a 12% increase overall.

Mickey, just out of curiosity? Were the teacher pay increases financed by tax increases or some form of cutting elsewhere?

Tax increases along with Trump’s tax cut led to surpluses.

I think you misunderstood me. The tax shite is what makes him vulnerable and what has to be hammered hard. Not abortion and guns.

No. But he and his media minions have done a good job of convincing the simpleminded of this.

My guess is that he’ll be at 40-45%, but will get enough crossover votes in the general election to win.

That’s not exactly how it works. An incumbent getting below 45% in the primary without another Democrat siphoning votes should be dead in the water.

If he goes from 42-43% to re-election, then it will be because of a full court press by Democrats to get out the vote and other shenanigans.

Similar to Soros pouring money into the Shreveport DA race in 2015. Soros technically didn’t support JBE, but his money bought a lot of votes for JBE.

His media minions have been very quiet about the upcoming Federal trial of former DEA agent, Edwards friend, Chad Scott.

While investigating Scott the FBI sent agents into brother Daniel's office. LINK

Deputies selling dope, vote buying investigation, bail bond scheme, deaths in the jail, ect. ect. There is no telling what might come out of the Scott Trial.

All I know is that there are three guys in our hunting camp two from Brusly and one from BR, two of which voted for JBE last time and all three basically said that they couldn’t pick Ralph Abraham out in a picture and never heard of him until he announced he was running for governor but would vote for him because he isn’t JBE. Now I know that’s an awfully small sample size but still you have to believe that there is at least a portion of people in SLA with similar sentiments. If Rispone and Abraham can splinter the below I10 votes JBE got last time enough and then throw their support behind the other in the runoff I just feel Guvna Honor Code is gone pecan.

There's two other ankle biter democrats on the ballot. Vinny Mendoza, a pro choice hispanic and Oscar Omar Dantzler, a woke black guy who could do well in Nola and North BR. And that's just on top of the Batshit crazy Landrieu cousin on the ballot as well and I can see stupid democrats voting for the Landrieu name without looking into Gary himself.

I can easily see them stealing enough percentage points to where JBE has no chance to win outright in the first round and will guarantee a runoff.

You can bet that donors for Rispone and Abraham will be sending them money on the down low to properly advertise themselves.

If he was polling that high then the pro-Edwards PAC wouldn't be attacking Rispone and Abraham. Why draw attention to two relatively unknown candidates.

Abraham's Lafayette office opening is Sunday. I just received an invite and will likely attend.

I know there has been plenty of behind the scenes work going on with the churches across the state. But it sure has been quiet up to this point.

I would guess that the campaign is certian of a runoff and will open up with both barrels at that time.

John Q. Public really isn't paying much attention till after Labor Day, or so they say.

So why would Honor Code lie to the public about his internal poll numbers?
