Credit poster LSUFanHouston for finding the story.

quote:

James Carville, the outspoken, ever-entertaining political consultant known for his love of New Orleans and his LSU Tigers, ended a teaching gig at his alma mater after souring on a campus culture that made him "scared to death in my job."

The Ragin' Cajun, who rose to fame as a top aide to President Bill Clinton during his 1992 campaign, told New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd that complaints from a student about an off-color joke in his class a few years ago earned him a visit from a dean — and prompted him to take it up a notch by reciting the famously raunchy "Aristocrats" joke.

quote:

he experience led him to step back from teaching, he said.

quote:

“This was L.S. freaking U., not Oberlin,” Carville told the New York Times. “It was terrible. I wouldn’t take the coeds to dinner after class. I would take the male students. I was scared to death in my job. I was like: ‘I don’t need L.S.U.’s money. I don’t need to drive up there and listen to that crap.’ I just said: ‘That’s it. I’m done. This is not for me.’”

Liberals are seeing that the extremist progressives have taken over their party.

(Had to come in and fix my there-their. I suck at typing on a phone, so autocorrect gets me.)

The only unbelievable thing about that is that Carville sounds surprised by that.

I’ll take “When the people who tore the culture down get to experience life in the rubble they created and still refuse to take responsibility or change course ” for $500 ?

Bingo.

I was always entertained by him and understood his communication style, it’s just he’s on the wrong team.

FYI, he was keynote speaker when I got my Masters in Dec 1993.

Preceded by Barbara Bush for my bachelors May 1992.

What a combo.

Clinton wasn’t that bad. I’d take a modern day Clinton in a heartbeat over Geriatric Joe

From the article:

quote:

In his conversation with Dowd, Carville said that Biden's age — and poll numbers suggesting he is losing Black male voters — were worrying signs for Democrats.

He also said that there were many talented Democratic politicians, including former New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu, who could be national flag bearers for the party.

"The most underreported, underrealized thing is how talented the Democratic Party is right below the presidential level," Carville told the Times.

Agreed on all counts.. im a registered Independent (#humblebrag) since the 1990s, but i think there are far better people on Team (D) than Joseph Biden .

Bro, if you have a problem with Bill Clinton, then you have a problem with Ronald Reagan……. They were far more similar politically (not personally) than they were different .. they were basically two different sides of the same coin .

Elections are going to be about gender more than race going forward.

It's going to be married people and single men vs the female spinsters who are extremely left leaning and progressive.

Allow me an analogy.

It’s a little like being proud of the arsonist for complaining about how much the fire destroyed. I’d be proud of him had he not started the fire, been complicit in its spread and called the firefighters who were attempting to put it out “ racist sexist homophobes” for 30 + years.

Democrats wrecked free speech and created this infantalized Woke climate. He owns it. Let him luxuriate in his failures. Just sayin’.

Dumb.

Just look at their court appointments to see why.
