Jaime Harrison Raises $2 Million in 48 Hours as Polls Show Him Leading Lindsey Graham

Democratic South Carolina Senate candidate Jaime Harrison announced on Saturday that his campaign against incumbent Senator Lindsey Graham raised over $2 million in 48 hours, after he called on his supporters to donate towards a $10 million goal.
"We told y'all we needed to raise $10 million to fight back against Lindsey and Mitch [McConnell]'s super PAC," Harrison tweeted. "And you stepped up! We've raised over $2 million in the last 48 hours."
The Senate Leadership Fund, a Republican super PAC run by allies of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, announced earlier this month that it would contribute a $10 million ad blitz against Harrison in South Carolina to boost Graham's chances in an unexpectedly close race.
In response, Harrison asked his supporters to donate and match the $10 million set forth by the Senate Republican's top super PAC as recent polls show the Democratic candidate's narrow lead.
"To win this race, we need to match this number, $10 million," said Harrison in a video message on Friday. "We got into this race, you invested in this race, so we could do two things: Bring hope back to South Carolina and send Lindsey Graham home."

A Morning Consult poll released this week showed Harrison leading Graham by two points—47 percent to 45 percent—while a Data for Progress poll on October 14 showed Graham trailing behind by just one point. However, a Siena College/New York Times survey earlier this month had the Republican senator up by six percentage points. The Cook Political Report considers the South Carolina race a "toss-up."
Newsweek reached out to Graham's re-election campaign for comment, but did not receive a response in time for publication.

Trump might need to do a rally on the NC / SC border to help out.

It's a bit concerning. But if money bought elections Ossof would have won his special election, and Robert Francis O'Rouke would be a senator from Texas.
When the money is coming from outside the district, and outside of the state it's not that good of an indicator of popularity.

So we have Trump losing SC?
because no way enough people split tickets for the races to not go the same way

Anyone who thinks Graham is losing this race is an absolute idiot. Not only will he win, it won't be close.

Geez. GOP is about to get shellacked in this election I’m afraid. Anti trump vote is strong

How are they creating these poll numbers?

Are people really voting for Trump + Harrison in South Carolina?

Judging from what I’ve seen yes. There are a lot of Harrison signs in yards but no Biden signs with them. Everywhere you see Graham you see Trump with it as well.

Those folks are just throwing their money away.

This won't be popular, but I'm not gonna lie. If I knew the GOP could hold a decent margin in the Senate, i wouldn't care if this sleazy POS went down. Graham was 100% against Trump until his buddy and fellow Swamp Rat Benedict McCain got sick. He was against the wall and pro-Amjesty.
Screw Lindsay Graham. I only wish that a Josh Hawley-type had primaried him.

Look, I've got my issues with Graham, but he SINGLE HANDEDLY saved the Kavanaugh nomination and didn't hesitate a second to push through ACB.
That alone would let him carry SC comfortably.

They're making them up. Trump got 55% of the vote in SC in 2016 and it will be closer to 60% in 2020. There's a 3rd party candidate (Bill Bledsoe) in the race from the Constitution Party. I think they're targeting a small number of people who identify as Republicans but are voting Bledsoe and assigning that to Harrison because Bledsoe isn't featured in any polling data but Harrison is running ad after ad talking about Bledsoe down here. This is Jim Clyburn and the black SC power structure stealing money from Dem donors.

Weird way to say they only hit 20% of the goal.
