It's very unlikely he avoids the death penalty unless the family asks for life. It doesn't get more brutal than death.
Death can also be a mercy, one he doesn’t deserve.

Unfortunately that is true. I work with children who have been trafficked. The trauma they have suffered is heartbreaking.

Well we don't have any actual evidence of that, yet.
I think I've finally discovered your technique here.
You are responding as though you were in court of law - always as the defense atty - demanding irrefutable proof of ANY statement made.
WE are in the mode of an interested observer - noticing things that 'don't seem right' and reporting what we saw and what our suspicions might be. - We are usually HOPING that further evidence can be discovered by asking the right questions and relating our observations.
This is not a courtroom - this is a gathering of ordinary people with a myriad background of interests and qualifications who are interested in general topics of interest - topics which are usually in initial discovery mode.
And you are not the judge. Your commentary as an "expert witness" could be helpful as we, a combination of interested observers (and/or jurors), try to sort out the true facts.
Practice your tradecraft in moot trials. If we need assistance with the minutia of law, we'll ask.

Was there the kind of child abuse back during the Founding that there is today? The answer is no and the reason is because society punished those who committed such with quick and lethal punishment. It’s not about the Rights of the guilty (innocent until proven guilty) but the Rights and Responsibilities of the innocent. If we can stop this, it’s on us if we don’t. And I surely note the danger to our spiritual being of this policy.

Also coat him in honey then put the cage on a fire ant mound.
Do like the Native Americans would do, put him on a stake in a fire ant mound cutting off his eye lids, and then coat him in honey

I did no such thing. The stories are written without real indication of time/space (which is understandable given the story and need to get them out), but there is nothing reported that the area the LEO who made the statement witnessed has anything to do with the guy. Or any logical explanation why a baw in LA who appears to have committed a domestic murder against a gf/ex was part of a trafficking operation in MS.
I'm not "asking for proof". There is literally no evidence/reporting to make that connection other than a comment by LEO who has no idea what he's seeing.

Jumping to conclusions is not "asking the right questions".
Can you tell me anything about where this location with the cages was? Was it in the neighborhood the man was casing? Was it in the location he randomly ended up in after fleeing? What is the connection between this property and the child killer? We don't know any of this stuff b/c the articles weren't written well.

Horrible. I received the Amber alert at lunch. Later, when it was canceled, I had a bad feeling … very tragic.

HMMM -
I am here to offer opinions and make comments on what is being discussed - so far, I haven't said one word about the 'evidence' in the case. I have offered the opinion that the 'suspect' (if found guilty) should be dealt with harshly (being skinned alive).
I have noted what others have written and noticed that you - in your usual style - nit-pick any post made by anyone else. And I made a comment about YOUR behavior, not anyone else's.
Yet, you are demanding ME to provide an evidentiary run-down on the entire case that I only read about a few minutes ago on a college sports chat board.
You could have easily ignored my remark, or responded to my observation about how you present yourself on this board.
You automatically responded as though you were an official in a court of law demanding that I prove I have some sort of "standing."
my standing is = US citizen - 86 years of observation - LSU graduate 1960 - retired (Engineer, Business owner, Math Teacher) concerned husband father grandfather, great-grandfather - willing to whip Biden's arse in any forum conceivable, other than being an absolute corrupt dipshit.
