Can’t imagine this ever happening in a league which I was actually paying attention to.

Is there a policy that controls what I can and cannot say?
Is it equally applied to all demographics?
If an employee asks me a question about my opinion and I answer, can I be disciplined?
If someone asks me a question about my opinion, and part of my job description is to answer those questions, can I be disciplined for answering?
And, if the employer has communicated with government agencies on this topic, then what?
There's a case here if Del Rio wants it. And, the discovery of communication with government agencies will make the NFL pucker up big time.

Political affiliation is also a protected class in DC.

Sounds like a hostile work environment. Everyone else can give and opinion on the subject but if you don’t follow the given narrative then you are singled out and fined.
I wonder how long before it comes out that he was specifically asked that question to set him up?

All these fricking people who apologize for being reasonable deserve the shame and humiliation thrust upon them.
Or just learn to stay the frick off social media.

In what world do you think your opinions and speech are immune from any consequences?
The world where the constitution of the United States matters. It is tragic how the left agrees with speech impression until it is their speech getting suppressed.
Do you not think the BLM protests, the kneeling at the anthem "roiled the office" and affected productivity?

This is what people dont understand the Commanders are a private company and can restrict what their employees say as officials in their organization. This is no different than Home Depot saying you cant wear BLM pins at work but people dont want to see it that way. You cant have it both ways.
Who is wanting it both ways? If they allow their employees to parrot the Black Lives Matter mantra and kneel for the anthem, then they are discriminating against him and are not applying the standard equally. I believe he has a solid lawsuit on his hands here.

I love how they say "4 people died" in an effort to distract from the fact that the protestors didn't kill anyone.

Point to me where the constitution guarantees speech is free from consequences by non-government entities. I'll wait.

Wish-casting, especially the last sentence. I guarantee you the NFL and the team have some pretty explicit policies around communication/speech, but I don't think you need to have a policy to fine/fire someone if in the view of the owners that conduct/speech hurts the brand.

He does not have freedom of speech in this case. He was not forced by the government to not say or say something. I hate it, but he broke a team policy and they acted on it.

You can THINK however you want, but you can't SAY it.
