The Catholic Church was started by Jesus Christ himself.

Even Martin Luther was a Catholic.

And The Church is not perfect. It has survived for over 2,000 years. No need to give up now.

Yes but they haven't had the pedophilia scandal or spent the past decade promoting Communism.

They have not sanctioned the communist party in China replace the image of God with the picture of Xi in the churches in China.

Go! And go often!

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

I'm a recovering Christmas Catholic. Lost my way in college and then by settling down with the wrong woman. About a year after my divorce when my son was in 2nd grade, I started taking my kids to Mass every Sunday I had them. And I was going by myself on my off Sundays. That quickly turned into me taking them every Sunday, even on her weekends. How could their mom deny her children when they ask to go to Church with Dad?! My son is now in 6th grade and I can still count on one hand the number of Masses we've missed in the last 4 years. It's become so ingrained in my DNA that picking a Church is among the first things we do when planning vacations. My children speak of Jesus without being prompted. My daughter frequently asks if we can a little bit extra for the homeless at the red-light.

The point of all this being, you'll never regret spending that hour a week with Jesus. In fact it'll probably turn into much more.

I'll leave it with this. A wise man once told me that "you're number one duty here on Earth, is to make sure your children go to Heaven." Those words hit me hard!

I haven’t strayed — yet I’m still a sinner like Charlie would say about himself.

But damn if I’m wondering what good is it doing.

That said, I’m going to continue to trust in Him and continue the struggle.

I will not engage.

I was Baptist. I converted while in Baghdad. In my 30s.

Being in Baghdad … had time to read and seek Truth.

God Bless y’all.

You’re headed in the right direction now. This world is not going to get better. John 10:10 “the thief comes to kill, steal, and destroy. I have come that you may have life and that more abundantly “
Ephesians 2:8 &9 says “ By grace you are saved through faith. It is a gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast”.

Also .. my daughter was distraught and I thought she’d gone home early from work maybe.

So I checked her location (she wants me to have it as she travels and lives alone) and my goodness .. she’d walked to the Catholic Church near campus. I’m glad that she recognized that she could find some peace or at least comfort there.

The Catholic Church is a disgusting abomination of the Lord's word and has been for centuries. Currently it is being used to advance the Marxist agenda.

Lucky the Lord's church is held wherever believers gather to share the knowledge and truth of the lord, this is not defined by the structure this takes place.

Did Jesus set a time and place for the gospel to be shared?

Great post. So empathetic and understanding at this point in time. Moron. And you are posing as a Baylor fan with I suppose is an allegiance to southern Baptists. Which have been always typical high and mighty the only path BS. GFY with your uncaring insights at this time. And for good measure GFY. And feel free to continue to handle your snakes and talk in your made up tongues. Yet again, GFY.

I mean no offense but it's clear you dont understand how the catholic church functions. Not all diocese are the same. The ones around here are very much conservative.

The Vatican and even some absurd diocese, and the corrupt orgs i agree.

I've been an outspoken critic of the high leadership of Catholicism and the Episcopalians for a long time, but is this really necessary?

Regardless of the methodology and practices, if Catholicism brings people to GOD and leads them to the truth of Jesus, is that bad? If you open the doors of your heart to Christ, He will find a way to show you His light.

Truthfully, your soul is at stake. So there is everything to lose.

And, if you're going to follow the pope you may as well be a Muslim. The pope said so himself! He said they're brother's and sisters and all roads lead to heaven ... if you're good.

This is certainly not Christianity. It isn't really even catholicism, but oh well.

Best to follow the Bible and trust in Jesus as your savior rather than hoping some godless man can cleanse you from your sins.

Total nonsense. The work "catholic" means universal. The Roman Catholic church is the most evil and oldest cult ever devised. It has murdered about as many born again Christians as Islam has and has been every bit as brutal and cruel. All in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace.

They have set themselves up as the mediator between God and man trying to replace Jesus himself who the Bible clearly tells us in the ONE mediator. They practice necromancy speaking to the dead and worship Mary as idoloters. They're not Christian.
