I've been trying to figure out why immigration is such a big deal

It's all about votes.

To the individual like him, yes, it's the fear of losing one's own culture.

1. The problem is with illegal immigration

2. Dems are for anything that changes the demographics in their favor

3. The culture that emphasizes education and hard work will do well as a majority or a minority.

Everything runs better with white people. I know how that sounds, but I can't think of a minority-run city or govt on this Earth that runs better than when white people run them.

That sounds super racist, but there's truth to it.

By Hispanics do you mean illegal immigrants? I mean, are they deporting people who came through the system legally?

And, why should we allow unfettered immigration?

How many countries can you name that have no immigration laws?

Your posts just made so many questions come to mind. If you would answer those questions, I am sure it would allay many fears some of us have.

Because unchecked, unfettered, and unvetted immigrants aka illegals are breaking the law and putting a strain on the economy. They’re also putting a strain on social programs (even if I fricking hate social programs)

Also, probably the biggest issue is none of them are assimilating into the American culture. Once you lose the culture, you lose the country. And the culture isn’t getting chipped away, it’s being hit with a sledgehammer due to these people and liberal (progressive/socialist) ideology.

They need to bring their asses back or we need to deport them. Both of those will never happen because we have an entire political entity that won’t allow for either.

Eta: You see the same thing happening in Europe right now with the Muslims. They’re destroying European culture, they’re out running Europeans in population growth as well. The reason behind this is that lower skilled, less educated people have a tendency to have more children and at earlier ages. This is why we must start vetting these people before they get here and end the visa lottery.

Immigrants are being imported to boost Democrat voter rolls while white Americans are abandoning religious conviction that views children as a blessing, leading to fewer children being born as parents seek their own personal fulfillment.

He's wrong or your interpretation of what he's saying is wrong.

Illegal immigration is such a big deal to the Left because they see the illegals as potential voters for their party. To paraphrase LBJ: they'll have those Latinos voting Democrat for the next 200 years.

Illegal immigration is such a big deal to the Right because it skews the job market and the economy, it over-burdens social programs and well... it's against the law (for those very reasons).

What's most interesting to note is that although lots of talk happens, very little is done. Bush had a GOP Congress from 2000-2006 and nothing was done. Obama had a Democrat Congress (with a filibuster proof Senate) from 2008-2010 and did nothing.

Ah so not wanting to be deliberately and systematically replaced in your own nation = white supremacy. Got it. You definitely never see non-white countries complain about it because it only happens to western nations.
