The security guy reached to the old dude and nudged him aside. OH THE HUMANITY!!!!
I'm not one of the ones saying there should be a lawsuit, but that final push was way more than nudging him aside. Dude wasn't ready for it and went flying.

Without more video footage, security is was out of line and should face possible legal actions and/or lawsuit.
In this video it appears old guys was just walking and security forcibly tries to move him.
Ivanka does not have security, she has Secret Service protection. The old guy was walking too close alongside Ivanka. SS guy lightly put his arm on the guy to let him know he was too close and back him away. The old guy got pissy about it and shoved the SS guy's arm, and he was shoved back. What do you expect to happen when you invade the secure perimeter of the president's daughter?
Go ahead and file a lawsuit against Secret Servive because your dumbass got too close to the POTUS's daughter and got checked for it. Or better yet, pull a gun around the president's daughter and see how quickly your life expectancy drops to zero.

I'm supposed to immediately support random paid security essentially tossing some dude who did nothing obviously aggressive just because Ivanka's last name is Trump?
He didn't "toss some dude" until after the guy shoved him first. The initial contact by the guard was shooing the guy out of the way. There is zero harm in that.

yall defending the dude getting his arse tossed are a bunch of pussies. Pay attention to your surroundings and problem solved.

I know what I would've done. I wouldn't let a other man throw me down like a bitch. But I'm trained. I guess you're not.
He broke the law using your body & you slumped back to your seat.

Unless it’s clear that a celeb is “on the job” (ie, being a celebrity), I’ve never done anything to invade their space. Just let them live their lives.
The closest I ever came to violating that was standing in a Duty Free in Tokyo and realizing Liv Tyler was standing beside me looking at the same stuff I was. We made eye contact, and I just said “Liv Tyler, right?” She said “yup”, and we both carried on.
I guess you could make the argument that eating in your restaurant, and it’s clearly something your promote, puts you “on the job”, but I still wouldn’t approach them unless it was clear that it was expected.

I want to believe he’s doing a bit, like 3YL or something.
Problem is there are too many people on this board that I do believe act exactly like that in real life.

that's fair and how i handle it now. saw john elway eating at his restaurant a few months ago and did not approach. his hands are the size of polar bear mitts - he was eating a burger and it looked like a krystal buger in those paws.
i was young, dumb, and full of um...beer...and my girlfriend wanted to get the pic with elle and sean too so i hopped to it. probably the first celebrities i'd ever met (or in this case, didn't meet) except big john tate, buzz aldrin and...wait for it...beax duke
fwiw ivanka's guard was 100% correct in what he did imo. it's not like he beat the shite out of the guy. there's no time to assess if someone's just some star struck random dude or someone with ill intent. his job is to keep her safe and people away from her. i'd be good with it if someone punched jared in the face, mostly because we're all just jealous of him. she looks finer than frog hair in that video
eta i would love to meet liv tyler. so hot

If you knew my father you'd understand. Getting a drunken beating every other day got old. Learning how to defend myself became my only option.
