Maybe they shouldn't have signed up to work around sick people.

My daughter’s class at med school had a large chunk of the class ask to be let out of clinic duty because of being “at risk” for the virus. What did y’all think Medical school was prep for? Mini mansions and weekend golf?

I’m bumping this. People are dying alone for no reason. Please write your state/local representatives if you’re in a state that has visitation restricted.

They would have to shoot me or knock me out to keep me from being at the side of a dying or suffering loved one. It would not end well for anyone trying to keep me from them, and probably wouldn't end well for me either...but those are the fricked up times we're living in.

As a paramedic, one of the worst things is having to tell patient's family they can't come with us b/c hospital won't let them in. As a matter of fact, we aren't allowed to have others outside the pt of course, in the ambulance.

And the rehab facilities. Since my SO went in (after a broken leg) I've seen her ONCE in four weeks, and that was when she was at the doctor's office for a follow-up visit. Her room is on an interior courtyard so I can't go up to her window and see her.

I had biopsy today in Pensacola hospital

Wife(no one) could come in UNLESS I needed help with paperwork

Ask what exceptions the hospital has for visitors

Maybe there’s loopholes

My dad went in the hospital and was alone for 5 days. He came oIt with a bed sore and he could no longer function. 4 days after that, he died. I blame East Jefferson hospital for fast tracking my father’s death in May and am angry as hell. We need some sort of legal resource to let these people know there are consequences to their actions. He never had COVID once!

Granddaughter works in a nursing home. Since the lockdown in March, her patients haven't seen or been visited by ANY family members. I can't imagine how difficult, confusing, frightening, and cruel it must seem to her patients when they think they have been abandoned in a nursing home. Hospice patients are allowed one family member visit/day.

Just let people visit their fricking family. There's zero to gain by keeping visitors out of the hospital.

They can give shitty care without anyone asking questions...

Same at my nursing home — and it’s been through Us already. I have zero idea why residents can’t even leave their room.

All but about 8 or 10 have had the damn virus.

to Tiguar If you had a relative in the hospital that ended up contracting Covid-19 and died because some infected visitor you might have a different opinion. Another important reason is to protect the hospital workers. I have watched people die alone. Yes, it is extremely hard, but it makes a lot of sense

God you are a sniveling condescending bitch. It’s none of your damn business if a family wants to be with a dying loved one. Go to hell

Amen on “go to hell” my brother

Nobody’s business telling me if I can see my mom before she dies
