re: It's the Sabbath. Let's settle this: who would Jesus vote for?

And if you're a follower this applies to you as well.
So should we then just ignore the workings of our earthly home?
This question isn't that dumb if you think about it.

Well one candidate supports upholding the Christian faith and its values so I would bet JC would vote for that one.

As a non-religious person in my adulthood, I find this type of discourse as counter productive.
To speak for God sounds muchly full of hubris.
However, to play this game, Jesus (the Son) would have voted for his principle in my best guess... not just the side that would win.
I don't think they (son/father above) would look at love of country or death like we do. These are trivial matters to them. *casts his two cents back*

He would never support abortion nor would he forgive it!

He wouldn’t. His kingdom is not of this world.
Jesus spent the majority of his life and most of what we read in the Bible doing two things:
Railing against the government and organized religious officials.
I am a very Christian and religious person and when I talk with Catholics and Southern Baptists I often wonder if they’ve ever even read the Bible.
Not directed bible study using carefully selected passages for a narrow message, but actually sat down and just read the New Testament.

Several things of which I am absolutely positive:
Jesus is AGAINST Marxism and Marxists.
Jesus is AGAINST liars.
Jesus is AGAINST abortion.
Jesus is AGAINST perpetual wars.
Jesus is AGAINST thievery.
ALL of those things are emblematic of the Democrat-MARXIST political party.
Jesus would have one clear choice - and would have no doubt whatsoever what that choice should be...
MAGA
PROMISES MADE, PROMISES KEPT.

Presidents come and go but the Deep State rules in perpetuity. God bless Trump, but a vote in the UniParty® charade is a vote for the left or right wing of our nation’s wholly corrupt national security apparatus.
Vote accordingly. Yet at best, a vote for Trump is simply kicking the can down the road.

Jesus was in this world, not of this world. Politics would interest him not, as he was one with his Father (as are you) and had no interest in the seperatenes that this impermanent world (the ego, the devil) spews. The human notion of seperatness is the opposite of oneness. God and Jesus were only love, so seperatenes did not exist in his time in Earth, this is why he treated the prostitute as he did the rich man. Being one with his Father, and being only love, there was no opposites, no hate, no judgment, no gender, no political party. He would not have had anything to do with what was not of his Holy God mind, as it actually did not exist.

quote:
Render to Ceasar and submit to authority, same as render and submit to God.
Matthew 22:15–21 — and the equivalent passages in Mark 12:13–17 and Luke 20:20–26 — are some of the most misunderstood verses in the Gospels.
Then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words. They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians. “Teacher,” they said, “we know that you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are. Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay the imperial tax to Caesar or not?”
But Jesus, knowing their evil intent, said, “You hypocrites, why are you trying to trap me? Show me the coin used for paying the tax.” They brought him a denarius, and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?” “Caesar’s,” they replied. Then he said to them, “So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”
Christ here was not endorsing the power of the State but delineating the difference between man’s temporal realm and God’s eternal realm. Caesar’s realm derives it’s power from manipulation and violent coercion while God’s heavenly power is based in mercy and compassion. Christ is not instructing his followers to submit to Caesar’s realm but to reject the blasphemous power of Caesar’s coinage.
