What DeSantis surrogates are attacking Republican voters?

You don’t actually believe that

Lil Donny is scared to debate. That means his only way to combat the DeSantis message is Truth social and no one reads that except for people that have already decided they’re going to vote for him no matter what.

Republicans did as well as most expected by winning the House. It was foolish to think we’d run the table in the senate. Many of the senate candidates who lost were anti-Trump also, which contradicts your argument.

The better argument is the fact that Trump has such high unfavorability ratings among upper middle class and college educated suburban voters, which will be hard for Trump to ever overcome. This is, to me at least, the most compelling argument for Ron DeSantis. On the other hand, I think the Trump turnout factor neutralizes this generally. While Ron has higher favorability ratings among those groups, he also doesn’t generate the same level of support among the base that we need to have a chance at winning in the rust belt. Elections in the rust belt necessarily require the forgotten men and women to turn out in droves for the Republicans to have any chance at all; they will for Trump, but I’m not sure they will for Ron.

You are discounting the effect of the anti-Trump vote. People will turn out in massive numbers because anyone except Trump.

Can we get a poll for candidates most likely to advocate shutting the country down over the flu?

Nobody has ever shut down or advocated shutting down over the flu.

No the Mid terms were confirmation of the GOPE fighting the citizens that vote GOP. The GOPE (mitch and company) decided to not back certain candidates with funds raised SPECIFICALLY for that.

That does NOT change the fact that most people seem to think Trump is the guy

Thankfully Patriots had the option of contributing to Trump's Save America PAC. The PAC's remit: Save America says it is about “building on” the accomplishments of the Trump administration while “supporting the brave conservatives who will define the future of the America First Movement,” the Republican Party and the country.

The PAC took in over $125 million before the '22 mid-terms.

jjdoc, tell us how much of that $125 million Trump directed to MAGA candidates in the mid-terms.

Fortunately, this forum is not a reflection of the electorate and there isn’t nearly this amount of vitriol among GOP voters in the real world. Except, some of the saltier country club Republicans who are still bitter that their donations to Marco and Jeb were wasted. I think 90%+ will consolidate around whatever candidate wins out.

The fact is, the GOP primary is going to be a popularity contest. It will not be won on policy, which is Ron’s greatest strength. This presents a very real problem for the DeSantis campaign in that it’s abundantly clear after his launch that he has a serious charisma problem. Fortunately for him, Trump is inflicting so much damage on himself that things are probably going to begin trending his way regardless. However, he needs to figure out how to inject some passion if he wants to wind the presidency.

No excuses.
