It's not cops that need training... It's people...

I honestly don't understand why no one is lobbying for both sides to come together and set guidelines on what should be done.. for example if you are pulled over, the Cop should... the persons in the vehicle should... Let both sides agree to something that is fair and reasonable.

It's both. Unfortunately you can't force people to behave appropriately.
Well I take that back. I guess a cop can force a person to behave a certain way.
But still, it's naive to say you are ok with cops current level of training given their responsibility.

Not disagreeing that people should stop acting like fricking dumbasses in confrontations with cops, but cops 100% need to be better trained across the board. Their combatives program is a joke and when they go to a BJJ gym they can’t fight any better than your average untrained person, most of them don’t shoot better than above-average civilians at the gun range and they don’t practice sound gunfight tactics, and their leaders generally don’t seem to want to change those things.
I personally think that a lot of cops’ issues (not related to the bullshite narrative that they’re “””murdering black people disproportionately”””) stem from the fact that they’re not confident enough in a violent altercation to stay calm before it gets there. Just my opinion, I have all the respect in the world for them and what they do, but they need better and more frequent training

They do have guidelines. Don't resist. Don't pull a gun on a cop and you'll live.

Her mom must have given her "The Talk"
You know, the "treat cops like shite and act like the dumbest frick on the planet" talk.

It's proportional.
When society acts stupid, cops crack skulls. When society is not stupid, cops don't have to crack skulls.
If society wasn't so damn degenerate these days, cops wouldn't have to use some of the tactics they have to use.

No personal responsibility
It’s only the cops fault. Always 100%

Because instead of taking the Floyd case and using it to potentially look into advancing some reform measures into policing in general, it immediately became yet unfounded "example" of racism...
You could have gotten a majority of people on board with reforms so long as you looked at the stats honestly. By making it only about race, which it obviously is not, lines were drawn and no true reform will get done.

This is the correct answer

The people need to get trained in the court room. First offense of a serious crime, punish their asses. That's not what is happening, the courts are operating on more of a welfare system. I realized that recently, when I went with my wife to court, about her speeding ticket.
There were people there(lots of them), who had resisted arrest, tried to outrun the cops, possession of controlled substances, all of that kind of thing, and you could tell that they were use to being in the courtroom. It was like a class reunion in there. The judge had to keep telling them to quiet down. Then they would go up in front of the judge, and discuss the old fine that they still owed money on, then they would plead guilty to their new charges, and get a 50 dollar fine+ court costs and suspended sentence to go on top of their already existing suspended sentence. Then my wife got up there and they fined the living hell out of her for speeding.

Was this woman picked on because she was Black?. No. Because her car showed as stolen..
and those of you that say Cops need more training... shite.. You can't get anyone to be a cop today. Get a job where you make less than $50K a year... Your hated, can get shot, have to fight people regularly and deal with drunks and meth heads.. and you can go to prison for life..You might not ever come home again once you go to work... and the Media and public treat you like shite...
Yeah.. Where do I sign up???.. This has to be the worst recruiting technique in history.

Probably, but all the training in the world won't replace accountability and removing perverse incentives like civil asset forfeiture.

She needs to check her privilege. This "I'm going to yell and scream and show my arse until I get my way " privilege will get her in far more trouble than it will get her out of.

Couldn't the cops tell she had an obstructed airway while she was screaming

I can't breathe...

I'm exhausted after only watching/listening to that - I can't imagine how the cops must feel. It takes a lot of energy to scream almost nonstop like that lady was doing.

For the "cops need better training" group, make sure you aren't also in the "defund the police" group.
