The Trump administration has also spent the past several years dismantling the very government programs responsible for combatting a global health crisis.

Here are some other actions the Trump administration undertook to dismantle government-spending programs related to fighting the spread of global diseases:

•Shutting down the entire global-health-security unit of the National Security Council.
•Eliminating the US government's $30 million Complex Crises Fund.
•Reducing national health spending by $15 billion.
•Consistently attacking Mark Green, the director of the US Agency for International Development.

Never let a good crisis go to waste!

I don't know if these agencies would have helped but are they lying?

They're not lying, but instead of fear-mongering, why not report the cuts were made at a time when there was no threat. Also, now that there is a threat, the funding can quickly be restored and people reassigned.

It's a non-story.

You're average person is going to read the headline and think, "The Coronavirus is Trump's fault!" It's misleading.

Yes. They are lying.

Stating 1+1=2 then implying that Addition causes cancer is lying.

The article implies they would have helped, so I’d assume you don’t know if they are lying..

I’m not wasting time on that article, ridiculous to say it’s his fault. But let’s effing go with releasing funds back to those programs. Start taking this shite seriously instead of saying nonsense like the heat in April will make it go away. Nothing to worry about, just like the Chinese.

Acting Director of Homeland Security couldn’t even answer basic questions about the virus on the hill yesterday.

Trump seems only worried about the stock market, we need him to step up, lead and prepare for the worst.

Yep, and the spread of AIDS was Reagan's fault, not the fault of the gays, bi's, and junkies who refused to take even the slightest precautions to prevent the spread.

If the CDC wasn't buried in fighting dangerous infections brought in by illegals this would be a non issue.

If only he had nuked Wuhan a year ago, this would not have happened. Clearly Trump's fault.

...extremely... Really? Government agencies scale back and make funding cuts all of the time.

Dims (really, really, dim ones) hold the House. I've yet to see their proposed solution. Pointing fingers and chanting OMB is not one.

I think you're missing the other point. Which is your logic is about on par with that of a pet rock.

If I'm your local mayor and make slashing cuts to the fire department and 3 months later your house catches on fire and the response time is inadequate would you say "it's ok, he made the cuts when there was no threat"

Of course you wouldn't
