I still don’t know why he goes to sporting events like these. It ends up costing the s as Mercian tax payers millions and is a massive headache for the people attending

Game 3 of the 2001 World Series in Yankee Stadium was attended by President George W Bush. This was just six weeks after 9/11. You can imagine the security that night. President Trump has been attending big events at MSG his whole life

i personally like the president that enjoys our institutions. part of Western society is a social cohesion around our local team. i was taken aback at seeing Talarico in a spurs shirt last night, but we do cheer for Texas teams.

Obama was a pretend basketball and White Sox fan and Biden probably couldn't have named a sports team on most days.

Watched that game and I didn't hear much booing amid the cheers. Cheering wasn't very strong either. There was a pretty strong set of USA chants.

It only becomes confusing when you wonder why people voted for his opponents.

Why does Trump go to sporting events?

Because it is something that he did before he became President. The Knick's fans shouldn't have boo'ed Trump. They put bad karma out and that's exactly what they got back.

That attitude is precisely why and how Trump will lose power.

Because you’re happy if he pisses off people, including moderate republicans. You require near-100% republican buy-in to maintain power and it’s something impossible for Trump to get.

Meanwhile, Trump doesn’t gaf. He’s more concerned with support for a ballroom and a Trump arch. “Bigly.”

The only people in the game who could afford the price of tickets were the ultra-liberal rich. The people on the street where cheering for Trump.

He can go wherever he wants. He should expect to get booed in these shite holes. Come to some SEC football games where he’ll get standing ovations for minutes. The problem with Trump is that he wants to be loved by the people that hate him the most.

He's a huge Knicks fan and wanted to watch them play their first finals game in decades at MSG. It's not really rocket science as to why he wanted to go after the owner of the Knicks personally invited him to the game

Dude went to a basketball game and sat in the box with the owner of the team. You think he wasn't expecting to be booed? Why should he cower and not go to things because a few commies will cry about him being there. That also doesn't mean he's trying to make them like him.

What's awful about it? You don't like it? What he said isn't wrong.

I assume it’s just because he needed a nap. He didn’t have a cabinet meeting, so an NBA finals game will do.
