I’m not sure people really care all that much about oil prices. They’re only concerned about what’s they’re paying at the pump. And since there really seems to be zero correlation between the two, save me the arguments

I year ago POTUS Trump was POTUS. In late January 2025, POTUS Trump admitted it would take at least 18 months to solve these problems and there would be pain during that time.

The premise of the thread was oil prices were not a big deal and should not impact people’s views of Trump because they are “going down”

I agree and I will state there are a few firms globally that manage prices of fuel. Those guys do not like POTUS Trump at all. When this is over, those guys will be looking for jobs.

Because it was in 2008 that oil prices first went over $100 per barrel. It was the last year of Bush and shiot was hitting the fan.

Yes, their trucks still fill up at Love's, Pilots, etc.
The point was, even $1000 added to 23 tons of goods shipped long haul, doesn't impact the retail price as much as you would think.

It only went up the last few months, dipshit. And now it's going back down. It was a few months of turmoil when this administration warned us was coming in order to take care of Iran. Keep crying though.
