Planned and carried out per directions of President Trump himself, to distract the media from the fact that VP Vance’s wife negotiated a PSA to buy Greenland AND Iceland.

I do not use social media or chat apps so maybe someone can answer this. How does someone not on a chat organize others to be on a chat? Also, if someone not on the chat can organize and invite chat participants, can that person also see the communication of that chat group?

Also, if Goldberg knew he was not supposed to be on that chat communications and knew it was high level secret information, doesn't that somewhat require him to let them know he is on the chat? It seems he would be innocent until he continues to let himself be exposed to the govt confidential information knowing he was not authorized to have it.

that's the problem with signal. you can invite literally anyone to it without verifying sec clearance

they should not be texting certain conversations while one of them are stopping off to pick doughnuts in the morning.

Conversations like this should be in person or on a secured land line at the very least. Not on your cell phone.

Legal counsel at some companies will even advise you not to text certain business related things on your phone, as such is discovery in court just like emails.

So with that, you’d think war plans should definitely be on the list of things not to type out in a group chat.

I had TS/SCI a long time ago and tbh this whole situation is bonkers to me. operational confirmations should not be communicated using message apps, no matter if they are encrypted or not. got to call out the whole group here because clearly no one at the top levels thought this was a bad idea from the start.

Watching you flail around desperate for a "W" is almost as rewarding as watching ABC news witness Trumps 2016 victory.

Almost.

I think the staffer did it on purpose, look for more of this to come.
Their flooding the zone with the judges, this and now Thune saying no Trump legislation til late July or fall.

If there are DC judges, politicians or their funders on Epstein's client list it's time to announce that a few under investigation.

That makes sense to me on the face of it. But with identities largely being shown as initials that can lead to confusion if you have a few people with the same initials.

Presumably, the person would not be listed in the inviter's phone contacts as just initials. The person who saved his number would have to have opted to save his name as only initials instead of his full name. People can edit how their name appears within the app, though, to be only initials.

It's virtually the same as starting a group text on your phone. You create a group and add people. Just like with a group text, everyone in the group on signal can see all of the messages exchanged in the group.

He said that he believed the group was people pretending to be cabinet members because why would cabinet members use signal to communicate sensitive information and invite random people to be a part of that communication?

Once he realized that the whole thing was real, he removed himself from the group and is no longer privy to the information exchanged in it.

signal is a govt approved, encrypted app.

For classified war planning? Haven't heard that yet. Signal may be approved for mundane stuff, but no one has suggested that it is approved for classified war planning. And all war planning is classified.

I guess in the 4-D deflection we will soon be told that classified information can be communicated by posting it on billboards or banners behind planes.

This is such a f@cking show. This is going to happen again and again, someone is going to "share" something and the left is going to declare it the nuclear launch codes level security breach and to the media will already have the narrative down and the nation will be drug back into hearings.

this is general Flynn all over again. (Miley can talk to Russia about undermining the president that is fine though)

If you can't see this for what it is, you deserve the chains the left is putting on you.

Goldberg reported he saw in a message, sent to the group by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, specific weapons systems, human targets and other top secret information before he left the chat. He did not publish the specific information as part of his report, citing national security concerns.

The White House has denied war plans were texted to the group, and Hegseth on Monday denied the reporting as well, calling Goldberg “a deceitful and highly discredited, so-called journalist who’s made a profession of peddling hoaxes time and time again.”

“Maybe in the coming days, I’ll be able to say, ‘OK, I have a plan to have this materiel vetted publicly,'” Goldberg told The Bulwark on Tuesday. “But I’m not going to say that now.”

During a hearing on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and CIA Director John Ratcliffe contended that the Signal chat in question did not include classified information. LINK
