What are these players , that are so concerned doing in their off time to push their movement?

I personally hope that the NFL loses so much money that they cant fill up a high school stadium. If you feel different that's your right. But now I put them on the shelf right next to the NBA.

As for as the owners, well them and their players made one of the dumbest business decision's that I've ever seen. If the players had any balls they should really protest and just go out on strike! I mean come on make a statement!

You should probably re-read the OP and figure what I said, what Trump said and what I was guessing.
OK let's reread it:
quote:

So why did some owners tell Trump they felt they needed to do something but couldn't and then Trump went out there and took the bullets for them?
Since you believe Trump, you naturally accept the story as true, but without any qualifiers of uncertainty, you appear (maybe not intentional though) to be presenting it as absolute and completely factual.
quote:

They probably didn't.
And my response to your post, since I don't believe Trump, I'm narrowly not accepting the story as true, but unlike you, I use the world probably because I don't have enough information to present that as an irrefutable fact.
quote:

So now you are all about conspiracy theories. What a kook you are.
Now here is your response to my belief that the story PROBABLY isn't true. You are calling my belief a conspiracy. It's not a conspiracy, and neither is it a conspiracy to believe him. But it is not logical to believe it to be irrefutably true or false based solely on this information.
quote:

It appears your ability to read is not very good.
Well now that I've reread and even laid it out for you in this post, what in particular implies that my post was a lack of comprehension of your posts in our specific discussion?

We know some owners went to Trump. So the question is, why? What did they hope to gain? Well, what did Trump do about it? Trump went and told the fans to make their voices heard. So what logical explanation is there for all this?
Distract, divide and conquer.

Now let me ask you a question: Does it bother you that the President of the United States is spending time on this charade?

Well, statistically speaking, the players are more likely to kill the owners than some random person in the crowd.

Is this just default election grunting, or is this grunting about asses being kicked in relation to something else? could you clarify before I give you a flippant response?

You are grasping at any straw to avoid admitting trump's supporters have drubbed the NFL to the point where they are within a week scrambling to find some as to kiss.

Now say something flippant.

Hahaha

The league is 70% black. The owners are in a tough spot.

Sorry, mon frere, you have me confused with someone else. This thread is the most I have spoken on the NFL shite storm. It is not a topic of interest to me, and it seems pretty cut and dry in my mind, so I don't discuss it.

it is looking like the owners knew the fans wouldn't support this and they talked Trump into stoking the fire
That is about as likely as Schumer supporting obamacare repeal.

But anyways, there were only about 5 players from 4 teams who had protested during the first few weeks. Those teams were: Seattle, San Francisco, Kansas City, and Oakland. So those would be the only owners who should have any current concern, and 3 of those teams are in 2 of the most left leaning areas of the country.

So the "several owners told me they are afraid" comment doesn't seem very plausible.

Are you forgetting that NFL viewership is down roughly 20% in the last 2 years, or purposefully ignoring it? Yes, the "several owners told me they were very afraid" is very plausible.

So, then if I accept this plausible scenario as the truth, Trump was looking out for the interests of 32 wealthy men. Truly, a man of the people.

Can you fix my post back for me?

Its all about the upcoming CBO negotiations between players union and the NFL/owners. The players are being played like the fools they are once again. When they strike, nobody is going to be supporting them. They'll end up with another CBO that the rank and file will wonder why they ever agreed to. Goodell and the owners are laughing their asses off at these idiots

No, he's boxing them in. They want so badly to demonstrate that hes wrong but doing so would require them to cut the shite which would make trump look good. If they double down the perception is that trump is right and they're afraid

Also Goodell "facilitated" a meeting between players and coaches. So much for unity. The NFL is in defcon1 and they have no one with the ability to manage a public relations crisis

And they're waaaay out of their league with Trump

32 wealthy men who probably feel the same way as the overwhelming majority of Americans feel, goofball. Is Trump supposed to oppose the interests of wealthy people, even when the masses feel the same way, just because they are wealthy? What about the masses of Americans who are livid, boycotting, and hoping for the destruction of the NFL if they don't get their shite together and show due respect to the country and people that made them millionaires?
