Thing is I wasn't implying that at all. I was simply acknowledging the cold hard facts of this situation. Israel has disproportional influence on us for a lot of reasons, all of which are in their best interest and that's how countries should operate. In this particular situation, they are under existential threat if Iran builds even one. Therefore if nobody else is going to do anything about it, a situation they'd obviously prefer, then they would have break out their nukes, which they have hundreds of. Some of the finest nuclear weapons in the world actually. They would then, BEFORE Iran could get to where they could hit them with one, nuke Iran.

And that's where we all get nuked if anything at all goes wrong. Which is damn near guaranteed when all the hands on the triggers are scared to be last. Because Israel has made it clear since they got the first bombs that if they were under exestential threat that the world could have prevented, they're not going out alone this time. They have Moscow targeted. Berlin. Washington, everyone if need be and they have to fire it all because they're about to get wiped out. Israel is extremely small. Iran can smoke it with a handful of nukes and they'd be torched.

Israel has built up a conventional military that's about as good as it gets because they don't want this to be their only option. They don't want to die obviously. And that's held the line for a very long time. But Iran was at the end with making nukes. They said so themselves. They had enough to make eleven bombs in a week or two.

Either we hit them conventionally with Israel, or Israel was going to kick this off with mushroom clouds.

Cry more. This is preferable.

Got no opinion on that other that if I had to guess, considering they wrote the documents, I suspect they biased it towards themselves. As anyone would telling their story.
