You know, it's possible to be concerned about both issues.

There are two types of people in this world that I can't stand:
1. Those who are intolerant of other peoples' culture
2. The Dutch

The Middle East has become absolutely lethal for Christians. There can't be that many left in northern Iraq.

There were about 1.5 million Christians in Iraq before the coalition invaded. Estimates put the 2013 population at as low as 200,000. After the IS invasion, who knows how few are really left.

What, my sig pic didn't make the cut?

My position re: Ferguson and Eric Garner would probably surprise you. I actually care way more about the situation with ISIS. I spent time in Syria and know many people affected by the conflicts there.

To quote an old movie line: "there's nothing like the smell of napalm in the morning. " Just don't tell Nancy Polisi about it before hand.

Interesting note - i believe the Ottomans (our Turkish allies) killed non-muslims en mass just prior to WWI (or maybe it was during/after).

Something that the Turkish government likes to try to distance itself from and encourages western governments to conveniently forget about and not remind the world.

And this post got 6 down votes. I guess that's to be expected here, but it's still embarrassing.

I thought I was pointing out something so obvious that it just went without saying. I guess not. Apparently people found it so mind-blowing that it offended them.

And the funny thing is that I don't even care that the officers weren't indicted in Ferguson or Staten Island.

edit: but, with that said, I think a lot of people see my location/avi/sig and just react.
