When will you people understand that this is a war/fight to the death.....that is the way the enemy is approaching it!!!! If we do not do the same.....well, you know.....

Well, you have to consider that they might be right. What if the caliphate prophesy is true? What if we all become Muslims and the Mahdi comes back and ends the world and takes us all to Heaven where we have sex with lots of pretty girls forever? Would that be such a bad thing?

I believe that atrocities have been committed. But this guy is a pastor who is relaying stories. Not any firsthand experiences. And he also said that Jonah came over in a submarine, so there is that.

Watch the video and let me know how credible his story is to you. Remember that he is someone who lives off of donations.

Hey, stuff like that happens. No doubt. But this account is a story.

How to recognize propaganda? When a story has much more emotional value than factual value. And the evidence is questionable or just based on hearsay.
I just noticed the story was published by the NY Post. Yeah, it probably qualifies as propaganda.

There were about 1.5 million Christians in Iraq before the coalition invaded. Estimates put the 2013 population at as low as 200,000. After the IS invasion, who knows how few are really left.

Not many, most of them moved to Germany and Europe with the Yizidis, or went to areas on the periphery of kurdistan where they are tolerated like stray animals. I would dispute the 1.5 million number as most of the estimates in north iraq are skewed by the Kurdish land grab agenda. Either way it is disgusting to kill a child over something like this.

Well, I agree partially. Their tactic is cutting the heads off of innocent bystanders. That's wrong. But suppose we caught this guy who is doing the cutting on the videos. If we caught him I would have no problem with cutting his head off and putting it on the net. Harsh? Perhaps.

I would need to be convinced that a demonstration like that would somehow be beneficial. I cant really see how that does anything for the USGOV.

It's called 'societal retribution.' Eichmann went on trial in Israel. They had no cap pun. They made an exception for him.

It just makes people feel good.

I have no problem with executing him, but putting a video on the internet? That's just handing the enemy easily packaged propaganda that can be used to recruit more radicals.

It wouldn't deter anyone. We're talking about people who will happily blow themselves up to kill innocents.

OK, I amend my suggestion. I say cut his head off. But don't put it on the Internet.

I can across an article about something similar to this the other day with pictures. Not sure if they are from this case, but definitely of some kids beheaded by ISIS.

I don't wish to ever see that again.

If we're going to go the Internet video route, the thing to do would be to go Blackjack Pershing on the ISIS members. An eye for an eye wouldn't deter them but something like that might do the trick.

Right where EVERYTHING ends up. 'Dissolved' back into the reservoir of Matter/Energy. Exactly where the kids *go*, when their life force loses effect.

The basic issue, is whether or not that Matter/Energy is the product of Conscious Intellect (I.e., God, Allah, Singularity, eta al)...or merely the temporary result of an unconscious, unintended happenstance interaction of Matter and Energy.

It it's the former...the act of 'dying' is a expansion beyond the individual's limitations into an infinite and Conscious - and loving - Being. If it's the latter...'dying' is the dissolution and absorption of the unique characteristics which form a particular individual (form of life)...into a feeling-less and dispassionate void.

The kicker/trump card...COULD be...that the ultimate experience of death (dissolution)...is SUBJECTIVE; all depending upon the choice/belief/faith of the particular individual.

Two individuals die. Observed (Empirical) death would be the same for the individual who believed in God...as for the one who didn't. However, their (subjective) perception of the dissolution of their limited conscious perception...would be radically different. As one would dissolve into Conscious Love...and the other would simply dissolve.

"Religious nuttery"...for perusal on a Saturday morning when the fish ain't biting and the Tigers ain't in the ring.

Hillary believes we should empathize and show respect for our enemies. She's clearly white house ready.

These ISIS cats are damn lucky Dianne Feinstein has a hair appointment today.

I respect the teachings of Jesus but fall woefully short of meeting his mark. Slap me and its highly unlikely I turn the cheek.
