Is This Reason #1 Why We Have So Many Problens? (People Being Asked Basic Questions)

I always say that our corrupt political system is our biggest problem, but is this short clip indicative of why we haven't collectively risen up and both demanded and created positive change?
How did we get this ignorant and poorly educated? Should all the blame be placed on our educational system?

Allowing women to vote.

Sometimes I watch these videos and wonder how many people were interviewed in order to find the dumbest.

I’m not buying people are this dumb. This is people talking this piss out of the man with the mic, being in on the joke or not.

Mine were in public school between 2000 and 2016. I can confirm that geography was practically nonexistent in their curriculum.

Every time I see these, I hope with all my being that they had to weed through a ton of correct answers to get the idiots cut into a short video. I know that’s not likely the case, but I cling to hope.

I'm sure a lot of that is cherry picked, but yeah, there's a lot of stupid people out there...
However, I do appreciate the titties...

Reminds me of Jaywalking from the 90s where GenX and boomers did the same stuff.

Okay... I think those are being faked a bit. And I find it hard to believe they don't know countries border the US.
I noticed a little bad acting in there.

I saw one back when Jesse was doing it, this ole fella answered all the questions about independence day and govt. Even said there were two presidents during WW2. I just shook my head, the guy was rolling his "Rs" at the end of words, definitely a Bajan (a person from Barbados).
Sure enough Jesse back in the studio said, that ole fella wasnt born here, he learned all that......studying to become a citizen. So a legal immigrant is taught more than 12 years of public school, what a shame.

Probably not as many as you think.
A lot of people are ignorant more than outright stupid.

I can tell you right now, if you went out to any street corner in any major US city and asked 100 random people simple questions about the base knowledge required to function adequately in society ....at least 40-50% would not have a good showing.

These same people will say, the people in the South are dumb. Look at how bad their schools are.
Are their schools better, or are they pencil whipping the shite out of the numbers? Hmmm?

I don't know if kids have lower IQs but I do know that text books have changed since I was in school. English classes don't require reading any classic novels and history books are focused on contributions of minorities and women. My son's U.S. history book had a page honoring the woman who invented something like stainless steel pots. And that was about 30 years ago. I'm sure the newer books are even worse.
Konstantin Kisin had a recent History Prof who explained how British texts are just full of the horrible things England did to minorities around the world.

Years ago Alexandria Town Talk was a real newspaper.LSUA was getting some foreign students, they interviewed this Spanish kid that was on soccer team.He said he was surprised how many people knew nothing about Spain.
He had been asked if Spain was a country or a city, also where in Mexico was Spain located.
Hard to believe but I don’t think he was making it up.

I graduated college in the early 90s. Had a 3.0 GPA and had to work for that.
I went back some 20 years later to get my MBA. Graduated with a 4.0 GPA without even really trying. It's different.
