If only Mo would have bent the knee. Had every opportunity. Ask for forgiveness and kiss the ring and Mo’s arse woulda been in.

She’s the wife of a former bama football player. In this state, that’s more than enough to sway sidewalk fans/voters. If you don’t believe a large segment of bama fans vote that way, you only have to look back at the buffoon who got run out of office a few years ago. He won twice based solely on the fact that he had a very loose connection to Bear Bryant, having been his dermatologist at one point in time.

And Auburn fans voted en masse for Fob James, in even great passion after Bear Bryant endorsed Baxley. There's only one cult in that state and it isn't in Tuscaloosa

Not just Bama fans dude. You are aware that Tommy Tuberville is a senator correct

You are aware of who the choices were right? Jeff Sessions worthless arse tried to run again for the nomination and the voters rejected him because he gave us the russia gate investigation. There was also that arse clown roy Moore. Tubs was the logical choice and it had zero to do with him being the former coach. He then beat that shite bag dem who held the seat for a couple years because Moores arse won the Republican nomination which caused a serious revolt among republicans voters in this state. This broad won based solely on her connection to a former bama football player.

Yeah, his previous employment had zero to do with his name recognition or his decision to run for Senator in Alabama, a state, if memory serves, he hadn’t lived in in the 10 years prior.

Look I voted for him and I like Tubs but he won because he was the former coach at AU.

Sounds like you’re a little salty that auburn fans didn’t run out and vote for Baxley like a bunch of mindless sheep because the Bahr endorsed him. The facts are the facts and bammer fans will vote for pretty much anyone connected to the football program… again we got two terms of the love guv based solely on the fact that he scraped a mole off of coach Bryant’s face 40+ years earlier. And we know this to be true because the guy was a complete afterthought in the governor’s race until he made an appearance on the Finebaum show and told all the side walkers a few stories about being his dermatologist.

His name recognition helped, but it also helped that he wasn’t Jeff Sessions, Roy Moore and the shite bag democrat that was keeping the seat warm. He didn’t win because auburn fans were hot and bothered and had to vote for him.

He definitely didn’t have much worthwhile competition. No denying that.

All joking aside, there is a serious lack of sophistication when it comes to voting in this state. Positions and policy mean very little if anything to the average voter. That’s why these campaigns run ads with your candidate toting a shotgun. To someone like me, I cringe when I see it but then there’s thousands of voters who just eat that shite up. As it happens, I saw a Britt ad yesterday toting a damn shotgun and dressed in camo

Britt was a strong proponent of sending weapons and military aid to Ukraine. after Mo Brooks went on record to vote yes on the $40 billion weapons package, she changed tune and bashed him for it. she is ostensible and has no real convictions. Britt is a female Little Finger, perfect RINO material.

Nope. She'll be a US Chamber of Commerce shill. She'll be conservative on social issues but will be a big government RINO on the economy.

Nothing really changes with Britt winning the nomination since she is unfortunately a shelby clone.

To me the real kick to the gut was meemaw not running a campaign and still avoiding a runoff

She’ll be a puppet for the man she’s replacing, long-time politician Richard Shelby. Therefore, she’ll be a puppet for the Republican Establishment. She said the right things and got the Trump endorsement in order to get elected, now she’ll shed most of that and be who she really is.

It’s unfortunate that the best opposing candidates we could come up with were Mo Brooks and Mike Durant.

The electorate knew Mo Brooks and said in no uncertain terms that they did not want him....nice and clear. 30 pts is not a defeat, it's a defeat with a message to him and the uber MAGA that he was not what most Republicans in Alabama want.

If memory serves isn't this the second time that people in Alabama other than the areas around Huntsville have told him no?

Every state…pretty sure Joe Burrow would poll well here.
