I've often wondered something like this. We are basically well fed slaves with cheap goods from China. People don't realize their labor and property has no real value backing it up, and only exists because the US government says it does.
I would argue that while there is some truth to that, there is also a counter argument that US citizens historically enjoy more freedom and relative wealth than any nation in the recorded history of mankind.

Henry Ford was based af. You should check out some of his other quotes… or periodicals

The fiat monetary system is designed for those who have initial/first access to the freshly created money….if you can understand what happened during and after the Financial Meltdown of 2008/2008 then you can understand how the Federal Reserve working with their government and banking partners use monetary policy to facilitate wealth transfer from the middle class to the well connected.
The same thing happened in 1929

that's a pretty big step there pilgrim.
took away the real meaning of 'money' as an indicator of relative worth
You can print another dollar bill that claims to be worth some amount of your effort.
You cannot print another 'shiny rock' - you have to actually EARN that portion of which you own. And that worth is based on the value placed on your efforts by the rest of the world, not your own advisors.

Obviously if government is weak then value is weak. Our particular government money differs by way of our work efforts, ingenuity and our freedoms. This nation leapt forward with people’s hard work and determination but cheaper energy but oil peg money and power is the major reason. Our ability to choose our own path is great but we now lean to the lesser resistance in life and choosing our elected officials. Those 2 things have put us in the wrong position time & time again. Having mouth pieces lead without having strong convictions puts us in danger with the same people we advanced forward throughout the rest of the world.

It’s probably more true today than it was when he said it

This has never made any sense to me. It's bound to collapse.
The only reason it doesn’t collapse is because everyone else does it and we have a military that ensures we stay the reserve currency

It is frustrating, and I truly believe the avg American can grasp monetary policy, but it’s not readily exposed to us for a very valid reason.
I didn’t learn about it until I took an economics class at MSU as part of my degree that was taught by a pretty conservative professor. She was very anti Keynesian and pro classical economics

Money is simply a way to facilitate bartering. It's been a far more efficient medium than shiny rocks or shells for a long time.
Genius, he's talking about the banking system.
No wonder you like commies.

Which they can't handle, so we're spiraling into authoritarianism.
There's nothing wrong with wealth or freedom, but the average human doesn't use them for their own good.

The federal reserve is the single biggest issue and no one cares.
Posted on 12/2/22 at 7:47 am to burger bearcat
I am very sure he did. They took a system back by gold and turned it into paper. Now, to hide even more destruction, they want to remove paper.
We have been had.
If you ever read "The Creature From Jeckyl Island" you will completely understand who the real enemy is. The creature is the Federal Reserve that was created on Jeckyl Island in ameeting of Rothschild affiliates!!

Because it enables people to live in relative luxury. They just kick the can down the road and the ending will be catastrophic.
Creating and holding wealth became the American pastime, and now its time to pay for all the shitty policy we have had.

There is not enough raw material for ALL of us to drive an EV from what I’ve read so far. I guess we’ll find out.

Now you are into the realm of free will.
People have to be allowed to make mistakes and their own decisions to whatever degree possible without government interference so long as the consequences of those decisions don’t overly impact those around them.
