Practical measures don’t lead to change. As a devout Christian, you should know that.

Life was slower back then. Plus, boomers turned out to be pathetic parents

I think you’re confusing moral with spiritual

And those that believe in science vs god?

quote:That's a false dichotomy. Science is just a tool or methodology humans use to understand the natural world. Christians can use science just like anyone else. The difference is the worldview or presuppositional thinking that goes into it.
And those that believe in science vs god?
But to your question, everyone has a spiritual problem, regardless of belief system.

Ding ding ding. This is quite literally the only answer. Mass shootings, in the big scheme of things, are NOT a problem in the United States in any way shape or form, even at their current rate. It’s thousands of times more likely that you’ll die texting while driving than to a mass shooter using an AR-15, but whoops no push from liberals to enforce stricter bans on texting while driving to save innocent lives. Turning troubled kids into superstars for committing atrocities is only asking for more kids who feel worthless and are troubled to do the same thing.

If kids get more exercise and fresh air, I bet many of 'em wouldn't need to be medicated in the first place. Big pharma shouldn't be such an easy way out for parents. Perhaps I'm oversimplifying, but a bunch of kids with still-developing brains being strung out around the clock doesn't strike me as a sensible idea...

If God can “change the heart”, why didn’t he do so with the kid who murdered 10 people before he murdered them? What kind of God allows that to happen?

Only an idiot would think that would make them a martyr. Unless you think murder is a noble cause.
The most recent shooter said that he spared some kids he liked so they would go tell his story. These people are solely in it for the attention. Your stupid theory would increase the number of mass shooters to 11. You are an idiot if you think public executions will deter this.

You see he spared people to tell his story. He has no story to tell if he's dancing on air.
Watching him choke out what's left of his life I doubt will become an inspiration for them to do the same.
Especially if you present it as "here's what you get"

What are you talking about. The MSM goes to town trying to get this kid’s story. Why he do it? How did he do it? Who is this guy? What could of society have done differently to stop this? Who is his family? Etc.

Yeah, because the second most popular suicide method is really going to deter someone on a mass murder suicide mission. You’re an idiot.

When I went to high school 30+ years ago, there was no such things as mass school shootings. What do you think has changed?

This.
Common sense was used to not show streakers at sporting events. Look what happened, it has almost completely disappeared.

God does suppress evil to one degree or another (no one is as bad/evil as they could be), but He allows evil to exist to show His goodness and mercy towards His people and to show His power and justice towards those who perform such evil.
Evil reminds us of our sinfulness and of the fallen nature of the world and shows us a need for salvation, both from our own sins as well as from the present evil world we live in. Evil actions are also used to punish sin temporally.
So yeah, there are multiple reasons why God allows evil to exist.

3 fold plan:
1) Permit concealed carry or provide on-site armed security where concealed carry is not permitted.
2) Media gag-order on the shooters name and face
3) If captured alive, public execution by being dipped into a giant turkey fryer. Slowly.

Does this tactic seem to be working?

Unlike God, I would never allow one person to kill an innocent person if I knew it was going to happen and if I could stop it. That makes me morally superior to your vengeful, vindictive God.

Also, God isn't obligated to save anyone or protect anyone from harm. We are His creations and He can do with us as He pleases. He could destroy each and every one of us and He'd be justified in doing so. The fact that He actually gives us joy and pleasure on earth and in this life shows His mercy, regardless of when we die and how.

Define solution. Do you mean solution as in they never happen again or do you mean solution as in the frequency goes down
