Lots of weird doctors. Why? Because certain fields that grant automatic authority attract weirdos. Of course, that doesn't mean that they're all weirdos - lots of good cops; lots of cops who got beaten up in HS looking to return the favor to the general public.

He's the poster boy for re-amending the 17th Amendment to restore Senators being appointed by the state legislatures.
