Is there a more anodyne statement than "It's OK to be white"?

How is that even controversial?

It isn't even taking a stance! It is just saying that being white is not inherently bad.

Being triggered by that would be racism by definition, no?

“All lives matter” is another seemingly innocent comment that some people lose their shite over

Women shouldn't be able to vote though. We can blame that on the fello's that allowed that to pass.

Is there a more pretentious statement than one that includes the word “anodyne”?

Because white people have, like, oppressed everyone else forever, man. You should not be ok with that. And ok stands for white power anyway. So what you're really saying is "it's white power to be white." Colonizer.

This is one of those weird double standards.

“It’s okay to be black” might get some stares, but it certainly wouldn’t be “OMG RACIST”

Dunno if it is pretentious or not - but I consider myself to have an adequate vocabulary - and I have never seen (or taken note of) that word. I applied all my normal analytical tools to the construct of the word and came up empty. I surmised the general definition from the context of the sentence and my opinion of your political leaning.

And yes - I looked it up - seems to have originated in medical parlance. I can see that it makes an easy transition to a political application.

But please - don't denigrate those of us who are unfamiliar with your sphere of conversational partners.

OH - and thank you very much for adding to my vocabulary - may even use it in some occasions.

I am ALWAYs on the search for new information - I YEARN to LEARN.

sincere thanks for the input.

It is precisely because it is short, totally true, and obviously relevant that it is under attack. It's not just people being triggered. It's the Soros machine bots making it look that way.

It exposes a lot.

TIL that an openly gay guy wrote on his face book page "I'm a fig." He got banned for hate speech.

I didn't mean to.

It was a term regularly used to describe Mitt Romney throughout the 2012 election cycle.

My bad for assuming, real talk
