If I recall correctly, Iraq was the #4 team on the planet at one point

No. That was just number of people serving in the military. Iraq had a joke of a military, and the reason it took the US so long to get to Bagdad is they were minimizing casualties - something Putin is not concerned about. The US could have taken Bagdad in two days.

Even China has now expressed negative reactions to this. Neutrality at this point is not tacit support.

What they say and what they actually do behind the scenes aren’t the same thing. People are doing too much wish casting

Where do you people get this nonsense? It was literally called “the race to Baghdad.” The entire concept of the invasion was to take Baghdad as fast as possible.

What are you talking about? Biden tucked tail and ran out of Afghanistan and caused 13 soldiers their deaths.

Because 13 deaths in one day is in no way equal to 4,000 or 5,000 deaths in one week. That’s roughly 44 times the death rate per day, on the low side.

This here. The Globalists are trying like hell to keep their appointed leader of Ukraine in place so their operations are not hindered.

They know if Putin takes control and places his guy in there, that their reign of laundering money and selling weapons from there are over.

What have they not done that we have? The only thing that's actually happened is weapons movement from Europe to Ukraine.

China is uncomfortable with this, but they can't make a huge deal about it in the global space because they have a neighbor they'd like to remain on good terms.

It's all finger wagging at this point and they're wagging theirs only slightly less than we're wagging ours.

When I was in the Army we was shown photographs of old satellite images of Soviet airbases. Where the planes were parked you could clearly see where the jet engines had left exhaust markings on the concrete. About 80 % of the planes did not exhibit any of these markings behind them. Our colonel asked if we noticed any thing out of place in those photos. We all agreed that it appeared that most of the planes looked like they had never moved.
Our colonel said that intel believes that those planes are actually made of plywood and were put there to makes us think that their forces were larger than they actually were.
The soviets have a difficult time making anything. Under communism there is really no incentive for the workers to work at their top levels. Their scientists and engineers may be top notch but the workers on the assembly lines really don't give a shite. Where we use rivets Ivan is still using bolts. We use transistors and Ivan uses vacuum tubes. Remember when Gorbachev bought desktop PCs to be used in their schools/universities ?
Here in the US you could just drive to the local CompUSA and buy as many as you wanted. In USSR Gorby had to make a special deal just to get them into their country, they could not make their own at that time.

Now Peauxtane invades the Ukraine , he is probably sending in his 'national guardsmen' thinking that Ukraine would just lay down and surrender.

And why is xiden* still importing russian oil? Because Peauxtane has copies of Hunter's hard drive and vids of the horrors that took place at Epstein's Island.

No I don’t think it’s failing. They are taking their time in order to maximize civilian casualties. They want to kill as many civilians as possible so that the NATO countries get the message.

Russia never wanted to fight for Ukraine. They hoped to scare them into submission. The Russians look inept. Will they win? They damn well should. But the limited access to western weapons and training has allowed a much smaller force to inflict a lot of pain. Likely they have already lost more people and equipment than the us did during the entirety of the Iraq invasion and years of insurgency.

And by being forced to resort to more brutal force they force they are increasingly becoming an international pariah. Their own people are pissed and I suspect the Russian military is none too pleased. This has been a disaster for Russia.

This is correct.

Just because Russia will still likely win this “war” doesn’t mean they are failing. Their objective to quickly and decisively take control of Ukraine failed.

Crazy that only 13 total people died in Afghan when genocidal terrorists took over the country with modern warfare weaponry. If the media doesn't cover it, it's not happening right?

you think that is a win for Putin? Endless war in Ukraine and an economy that is boycotted by the rest of the world. Regime change in Russia in that scenario will come sooner than in Kiev.

It's still highly likely the Russians take over Ukraine. But they face a long and brutal insurgency, equipment shortages, a damaged economy and a lot of uncertainty.

From reading about what has happened so far. It almost seems like Russia is just zombie walking into Ukraine trying to take over by brute force. It’s a strategy that will probably ultimately work just due to numbers but it’s going to result in a lot of dead Russians.

Isn’t this their strategy from WW2. Just keep throwing men at you until you run out of bullets.

100% agree. Russia's armed forces are no match for ours, except for their nukes. But conventionally they wouldn't last a day against us. We always have to respect their nuclear arsenal though. That's why we were in a cold war for 40+ years.

Russia hasn't won an offensive was since the napoleon era. Fighting the Japanese in China at the end of WWII doesn't count. Japan was defeated.

A lot of the takes on Russia are utter nonsense.

For starters, under Putin, Russia has been quite successful. Russia has handled Syria better than the US; though you wont find that in the mainstream media.

With regards to their conventional armament, its "good enough". It only needs to be "good enough". There is literally no point in anyone trying to match the US with regards to conventional tech.

They, Russia, has some of the best subs around with warheads that can touch anywhere on this planet. So yea, their army is good enough for what they seem to want/need.

It doesn't really mean anything to look at loss of equipment or troop deaths as Russia doesn't view these things in the same light as USA. To them, Troops range in value like they view equipment. If your job is to get shot so their more skilled fighters know where you got shot from, well.......

People are trying to big brain Russia when the reality is they spent all their major resources on warhead deployment and well, its top notch. All this other shite just needs to be on par with every other country not named USA.
