The de facto 4th branch of govt is the worst branch.
Soy asked this question.
Kelli should have said, “nope he is not. In actuality he has personally been sitting on the vaccine for months. He wants to see how many Americans can die and whether the public will beg him for the cure.”
Stupid arse reporters

Well with Joe Biden doing those press conferences saying what he would do.
Anyone else remember Joe talking about the Situation Room as an end all, be all & how he was going to do this.
What happened?
How many days did Joe do these pandemic press conferences?
Is Pepperidge Farms posting here?

They would never have asked Obozo's people anything in the same neighborhood of disrespectful as that.
Would have been more likely to kneel and wash the feet, if only by proxy.
FFS...
"So, tell me, has the President FINALLY stopped beating his wife?"

I hated Obamas policies. But even for Obama, this would have been a stupid question.
What a shame that a once honorable profession has been reduced to this.

No Trump hasn't done all he could. He could have shut down the country in February before it all got here and cut off all international flights and restricted every one to their homes. Then we wouldn't have a COVID-19 pandemic we would have:
Starvation
Suicide
An economic depression worse than the Great Depression
And finally...real grounds for impeachment because he would have to throw away the Constitution to do that..you ignorant media clowns.

Exactly
What’s the answer?
a year long lockdown, more masks. More ventilators
Less xenophobia?

I would have brutally shot down this line of questioning by simply saying, "Maybe in the career field of journalism micromanaging is a standard and expected practice, but in organizations that actually have a meaningful impact, a chief executive micromanaging his subordinate department heads will cause strife and distrust."

Did the person asking the question consider 7,000 additional suicides and 28,000 additional homicides as a result of the shutdowns?
My guess is Nope.

This is not going to be popular here, but the facts are.. In 2005 GWB established a Pandemic section part of Homeland security.
I want to say something like $17.5 billion from HLS budget went into preparing for a pandemic, because he was made aware that at some point the US will experience a pandemic.
They put together a "playbook" that had directions in terms of what to do when there is a threat of a pandemic.
LINK
Under Obama, after dealing with H1N1, ebola, etc he was able to add to the playbook but the idea was to have a lot of equipment available and once they established a ground 0 what to do. Immediately shut down the boarders, etc.
In 2017 Trump just completely did away with the pandemic section of HLS for whatever reason. When it was learned that it was likely to reach America he did nothing, in fact he ignored it through February and into March.
Since he doesn't listen to his advisors or read is daily briefings he thought this would just go away. He said that it would be like a miracle and just go away. At one point he said it would go away, likely sometime in April.
I know the die hard trump people refuse to think he does anything wrong. Some of you stick with him because you refuse to admit you were wrong..But he is a joke and had no idea what to do when shite hits the fan. All he is concerned with is whether or not people like him. If you can't see that then you are stuck in the cult mentality.

I heard he set up a lab in the basement, and is up all night working on different combinations. He's pretty close on one, it cures the Covid, but kills the adorable puppy test subjects.

I am sure he can come up with the best vaccine the world has ever seen.

I would like to know specifically from his detractors what more he could have done or what he should be doing now. He tried to shut down travel from China and later from Europe and was soundly criticized by the DimMedia Marxists, he shut down the economy for several weeks even though many experts had already concluded it would only delay the inevitable spread of the virus. The most important fact is Trump has pretty much implemented the pandemic guidance and mitigation advice from Dr Fugazi and Birx who the Dims seem to gush over yet Trump is the sole person who's being blamed for all things COVID19 in America.
