That hay seed wouldn’t win one state besides LA (and even that one is doubtful). What a colossal waste of time that run would be.

He sounds like the voice over guy for Piggly Wiggly radio commercials. I think the same guy did “Tales from the Parish Line” for Entergy or Atmos several years ago. Faux country-boy accent.

His “down home horse sense/Will Rogers Wanna-Be” act got stale 10 years ago.

He’s nothing but a big talker that never gets anything done. I like Kennedy but he loves to hear himself pretend to be tough on things but never demands or receives accountability.

Doubt that he has any interest in leaving the Senate, where he will have the position for as long as he wants. I have watched a ton of his Senate confirmation hearings & he is particularly effective in judicial committee hearings, as well any committee involving Congressional hearings on the budget. He's in the Top 5 , at least, in intelligence in all of Congress, going from his law degree from the University of Virgina ( one of the top law schools in the country) to being of the very few Rhodes Scholars, from Oxford in London, in Congress. He lives in a regular one bedroom apartment in D.C. as opposed to the many living in million dollars home in Virgina & Maryland. His "Foghorn" persona comes from his voracious readings, where he gets many of his "wittiness".

My issue with him is he's fake as frick. Full of hot air and witty expressions but no real substance.

I liked him as State Treasurer and thought he could make a good Governor. He was great at calling out the cronyism of folks like Alario, Bob Odom, Francis Thompson and Jindal.

But when he opted not to try to take on John Bel Edwards in 2019 (I understand why he stepped aside in 2015), that showed me he just wanted to lob funny lines from the sidelines rather than really get in there and get his fingernails dirty.

Just pretty much like any member of congress, just more colorful?

He’s an excellent conservative vote, and a superb foil to libtards. But I prefer him as my senator.
