Good question. With the current laws on the books, I'd say no, it's not but I'm willing to listen to why it is/should be.

Wish we could look at it through the rulings on “voting rights”. If we did that.. they would be giving us a ride to the gun shop while waiving all taxes and fees.

To use 1st amendment analogies, I think if it is content neutral, ie, a tax applicable to all goods and services without regard to the nature of the goods (here, 2A related goods), then no.

If poll tax is is a infringement on voting than gun tax is an infringement on gun ownership.

This is an interesting argument, especially since there is no constitutional right to vote but there is a constitutional right to bear arms.

Every gun law is unconstitutional and should be overturned.

Citizens should be able to have any firearm that is manufactured. Firearm does not mean weapon. Citizens dont need nukes or chemical weapons. But fully automatic weapons should be legal.

Because the 2nd Amendment is a right. If it's legal to tax guns and ammunition, then it's legal to tax a voting ballot.

This is false. The Constitution guarantees a republican form of government, which implies voting, and the 26th Amendment guarantees that the right to vote for people over age 18 may not be infringed.

It will ultimately be how they get their gun control... The best avenue for them would be a prohibitive tax on ammo....

Then they could say "you can own your guns"... Most people won't be able to afford to shoot them...
