Is Joe Rogan supposed to be a libertarian?

Or at least a “keep the government of our lives” type guy?
Just listened to his Bernie interview and it was pathetic pandering. Basically a one hour Bernie commercial.
I wasn’t expecting him to be rude or argue, but he offered almost no pushback or counterpoints. He let Bernie’s crazy talk go completely unchallenged.
Very disappointing.

Yes. But he is enamored, as are many in Hollywood, of Bernie.
He is definitely NOT a fan of HRC, nor of a more broad socialist agenda. He is also typically deferential to his guest. Watch his Alex Jones (which is an EPIC 3 to 4 hours) if you want to see a different side.

Rogan is a left leaning libertarian. He's not your standard type. He loves freedom, but he also loves liberals

Joe lets his guest have their say. He doesn't challenge very much. I like that about his show, but it can be frustrating

Rogan isn't one to challenge his guests with hard hitting questions or detailed questions about policy. He had Tulsi Gabbard on recently and it was mostly just chit-chat. I am a big Tulsi fan but I would like to see her answer some real tough questions and not just put on an infomercial.

Not even almost can rogan be considered any shape of a libertarian. He likes big gov waaaay too much. He’s for redistribution of wealth, pro-immigration, “having the rich pay their share”.
He’s just not in line with very left idealology of being anti2a, doesn’t see race in everything, anti-free speech that we see with many progressives today. These things do not make a libertarian, just common sense. Joe is very much a leftist.

yea, joe is not conservative at all, except for guns. He's stated this several times if you listen to him regularly.

He wants UBI, free healthcare, I’m not sure on his free college stance, but I assume it is supportive.
He just seems to value 1a and 2a more than most leftists. Almost everything else is platform progressive.

I don’t know if joe knows what joe is, day to day.
He gets so interested in all of his guests’ beliefs that he, for three hours, is actually them.

This nails him to a tee.
He grew up in a staunch liberal progressive home and, while he does want legalized drugs (not just Mary Jane) and he does support most 2A stances (though within the limits of hunting and certain handguns for home defense) and he does support the 1A in terms of no one should be banned from college campuses ..... he absolutely hates Trump, has called him an idiot on several occasions that I've heard, and he preaches the whole white supremacists BS and all of that.
So he likes to call himself a libertarian because he likes to use hallucinogenic drugs .... but he's far more progressive at his core.
Listen to the last Sean Carroll interview about a year ago I think it was, August of 2018, and it'll expose Joe for what he is. Although, he was in over his head with Carroll in terms of multi universe and quantum entanglements and he interrupted too much (which he rarely does) .... but he let slip, on several occasions with Carroll, his true far left leanings.
He's a climate change idiot to boot.

What Joe Rogan is depends on how high he is and who is on the show.
