Here's the thing....there is only one way to "drain the swamp." You don't drain the swamp by firing people, or with favorable judicial rulings. Those things might help on the periphery, but to truly drain the swamp, you have to choke off the money supply. This is because the fraud and misallocation of taxpayer money is a feature not a bug.

Trump became just another ordinary, average politician by refusing to advocate for any fiscal restraint.

Yep--it's also rather hard to drain the swamp and fraud when you (you being Trump) partake in the market manipulation and corruption.

Yes and yes.

Completely failed.

And yes this country is now broken beyond repair. May as well start making plans for it.

You are a whiny douche. Trump cut the size of the federal workforce, tried to cut the budget and fraud but Republicans refuse to implement any of them, and has deported millions. What would you like him to do with absolutely no help and a Judiciary that tries to stop him at every turn?

So far, though, his second term looks a lot like George W Bush.

His absolute cuckholdry to Israel has been embarrassing to watch. I'll concede that it appears that he has learned his lesson, even though that "deal" is an abomination.

So what is your suggestion to battle the swamp more aggressively?

The main things holding this country up are the purposeful and malicious ineptness of our legislative and judicial branches of government.

What more can the executive do?

He brings in Elon and DOGE. Has congress codified any true spending cuts.

The SAVE Act is DOA due to treasonous Senators.

His appointed intelligence officials are producing evidence of rot and collusion at a record level, yet who is responsible for prosecution? The Executive?

The People are the only ones that can fix this problem and we do not have the will for another revolution.

This exactly, he has TRIED to do so much, imagine the difference if we had passed the Save Act and his B.R.C ban was upheld. He's pushing for term limits in Congress. The man has tried. Going after the TPS and getting it was big. There's only so much he can do, if he'd been given the power Bukele has he would make similar changes

It's almost like he is on a revenge tour, trying to make as many people angry as possible for stealing the previous election from him.

He's literally done more to push back on the corrupt DC establishment than any President in my lifetime. But sure... Trump's fault.

When you drain a swamp...you drain away all the water...only then can you see what's in it. All must be exposed.

She seemed like a pretty good pick at the time.

Nope, man. You can't say that. The only acceptable reponse is, muh "all Trump's fault!"

George Washington, yes, but Andrew Jackson? Seriously? You could have mentioned John Adams, James Madison, even Thomas Jefferson but you said Andrew Jackson!

Jackson was probably the most evil man to ever serve as POTUS. His forcible removal of Indian tribes from their ancestral homelands led to the Trail of Tears and untold deaths from starvation, disease and misery. He defied the supreme Court in Worcester v Georgia, which would have established a homeland for the Cherokees. He was a slaveowner; what's worse it was widely reported he physically abused his slaves. And his fiscal policies led to the Panic of 1837 and economic depression.

If George Washington was the top, Andrew Jackson was the bottom. I can think of no worthy lifelong accomplishment of the man other than his defeat of the British at Pakenham Oaks.
