Having a gun and interfering with federal law enforcement, yes that’s a crime.

Crime or no crime, it is certainly dangerous to fight law enforcement while armed.

The Constitution may protect my right to carry a firearm while jumping off a bridge, but that does not mean it is a good idea.

I don't know the Law, but, IMHO it should be perfectly OK to legally carry a firearm and then engage yourself in legal activities, like holding up a protest sign.

If a cop moves you out of the way with his hands and then you shove him back, you probably assaulted a cop AND you are now an armed suspect.

Be careful out there.

Well, it does infer that you're prepared to shoot 18 people in your conflict. And when you're openly professing your conflict is with federal law enforcement you tend to get the FO ending we have here.

Or he could have been going to the donut shop.

They guy shot had been in the middle of the road when a car honked at him and went around him. He then walked toward an ICE officer who was, perhaps too aggressively, pushing two protestors who may have been women (can't assume their genders) off of the street and onto the sidewalk. The now dead guy approached the officer from behind and put his hand on the officer, who proceeded to shove him away and spray them all with something, I'm guessing mace. The officer then grabbed the recently deceased and threw him to the ground where several officers tried to restrain him, possibly with the intent of arresting him. One of the officers standing in the group suddenly drew his firearm and fired. I couldn't tell very well what the shot guy was doing besides resisting, but the officer's story appears to be that he saw a weapon and responding accordingly.

note: I typed all of that quickly and didn't double check it, so forgive any spelling or grammatical errors as they are unintentional.

I need to see video but I kinda don’t really. I imagine he was being an arse and obstructing so they went to arrest him. In the process of arresting him his guy was either pulled or revealed and they all unloaded.

I would bet that in a blue state the rules on carrying a gun would be very restrictive

Whoever downvoted you is a pedophile lover.

KR was open and shut self defense. Anyone that says otherwise is straight retarded. They chased him down the street before he stood his ground.

I know they wont respond. Only downvote in the shadows.

I don’t think so. But “domestic terrorism“ has been expanded to include filming ICE. They’ve been given freedom to go after people for filming with their cell phone. Case in point.

There’s 1,000s of videos people filming ICE and cussing at them while ICE agents ignore it.

mean it was okay for Kyle Rittenhouse…

He was cleanup crew, not protest crew.

His firearm was purely for defensive and security purposes. And they thought it was a good idea to attack him anyway.

But regardless, I'll wait for the deets on this shooting. Body can footage will be out in a day or two and we'll know what happened.

Pre-2026 Bongino Rule, folks. Let's deploy it.

Always the prudent approach.

So now you are against carrying a firearm in the US? That is interesting.

You are a felon the second you shove back and they can disarm you.

Apparently our resident leftists and trolls never have taken a gun safety or hunter’s education course.

Isn’t the very reason for the 2A to protect ourselves against the federal govt?

That is true. There are also videos of people being detained and physically harassed for filming while the ice agent uses the word “domestic terrorist“. It really depends on who the ice agent is.
