Seems like rooting for evil people to do evil so you can get saved from downfall of man then you may be the evil people too.
I don't get the point of millenarian types who are looking for these signs or imagining that they can kickstart the second-coming of Christ. Seems like there are some pretty on the nose parables about how foolish such endeavors by man will be.

I find it hard to believe anyone would allow thousands of their citizens to be slaughtered.

I mean, Jesus himself said no one knows the time of His returning
Matthew 24:36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
But yeah, they think they can force Jesus to return by inciting certain things to happen in Israel. Quite foolish of them to even suggest that is possible.

They've openly admitted that they're allowing a minimum amount of aid in just so they won't be accused of war crimes.

Israel indeed is a nuclear armed power with a cradle-to-grave welfare state and enjoys a high standard of living that rivals all but the largest of Western European nations.
Why is it absurd to suggest Israel is fully capable of defending it’s sovereignty without U.S. aid?
