Hydroxychloroquine is still under clinical trial
Here are links to Yale's and Harvard's IP treatment algorithms (straight from the horse's mouth):

This is what is being distributed to doctors and nurses. It's good for the Hydroxychloroquine defenders.

It’s hard to defend Fauci’s reaction here with what’s still very limited data.

That was a survey, not a study and it has been debunked.

I'm trying to get some reliable data on the cost of Remdesivir a tthe moment.

I listened to this yesterday. Quite revealing. The good stuff starts at 3:00.

Right. People want results now, but that isn't typically how clinical trials work. They can take a very long time to get reliable data/results.

It seems that 1.5 million doses of Remdesivir had been donated so far. I know that there is a small shortage at certain hospitals using it for clinical trial.
Here is an interview with Gilead's CEO:

I think it is undetermined how much they are going to charge for this.

Gilead is losing their money printing Truvada patent so they're going full court press to get Remdesivir as the number 1 Covid treatment. They're not hiding their intentions very well.
It's said over and over again. But always follow the money.

The $1000 price tag looks to be false.

Note that this list comprises of mostly what Yale and Mass General are using to combat COVID.

why can't we just give him his award or medal or whatever it is he's shooting for? he needs to just go away.

Of course it's false, and despite the FB poster's claim, it's not a pill either ;)
The drug is not yet approved for any indication so it cannot be sold for any price. Hence why it has been donated thus far.
I'm sure Gilead has done some initial calculations and has an idea of what a course of treatment should cost, but it's not public (or set in stone) yet.

Even if Remdesivir costs $9 it's 12.9 times more than HCQ for a company losing a big patent.

Yea, I think the links I provided should help people form their view on this without biased articles or biased YouTube videos.
The whole fight about this is completely ridiculous and politicized. The real doctors are still working it out.

Fauci has a history of this, he got behind AZT as the only treatment for AIDS, ignoring many other drugs that were effective, and AZT turned out to be more deadly than the disease.

I believe Fauci is the lead investigator on the Remdesivir trial.
That's not how science works. There are dozens of trials for the effectiveness this drug in treating COVID patients in various stages of illness. This is true of hydroxychloroquine as well. The whole idea behind how knowledge is passed forward, scientist to scientist is that results are published and subject to scrutiny. Further, the trials themselves are replicated. It makes no sense to improperly promote one drug over another given that either way, the most effective treatment will out as more trials come in.
