Some kind of major attack would be the only thing that could possibly unite Americans in a way that isn't completely against Biden. And depending on how he responds, it might be the only thing that can correct his historically low popularity.

I happen to watch the video today.
He's not predicting a huge event on Dec. 8th but that the spiritual protection of the world will end on that day.
Apparently he's prophesizing that events will begin to snowball after that date especially catastrophic natural disasters and world political events. The protection(katechon) he is speaking of is St. Joseph. The year of St. Joseph will end on that date. I believe that this priest has prophesized on some other dates which did not come to fruition but I never really watched much of his content as I keep people who set hard dates at arms length.
But it really doesn't take a prophet to understand what is likely coming for us in the next few years with our dementia president and Russia and China prepping for moves.
Also there are the issues with the Church as Pope Francis leads the faithful in confusion with conflicting teachings and embracing pachamama and political world operatives.
I always believed the "katechon" to be the seat of peter in Rome. It seems as the Church loses its spiritual health so goes the societies of the world. I do keep a watchful eye on the failing health of Benedict XVI in a time of 2 popes as Francis seems to be more comfortable in the seat next to likes of Jeffrey Sachs instead of the seat of Peter.
ETA: We are all called to conversion and to go deeper into a spiritual life. I think most people of good will understand this. I do think it is time we stop putting it off and begin to act on the what our souls inside of us are calling us to do.

Then why did Christ tell his apostles,
“Forgive men’s sins and they are forgiven, hold them bound and they are held bound.”
Maybe he mis spoke? Or maybe the Bible is is full of errors. Or maybe Christ did want us to confess our sins to the Christian community ?
