Their issues have been from a raw material shortage. They're simply not ready yet for mass distribution.

That’s a very recent and more generic definition than the traditional one. The definition was changed, recently, to bring mRNA shots under the umbrella.
The definition for a very long time has been:

I've had maybe one flu vaccine between gradeschool and now. Won't do it again.
Certainly haven't ever taken a vaccine developed in a few months. A vaccine where the manufacturers are immune from any negative consequences they cause. That is the recourse I'm talking about.

I'm waiting for a traditional flu-like vaccine, which I will only get if I'm forced to by my employer.
