so to correct it, we do a 180 towards 1778 and start over?

How do we correct what we've created in generational poverty? with more taxes...

Access to such housing is a right, sure. I mean the government shouldn't be able to actively prevent you from finding affordable housing.

But that's entirely different from the government making sure you can afford housing. Obviously that isn't the government's role.

Or rather, it shouldn't be.

Yes. Let's double down on what created it to begin with.

yeah, that's how we've become a civil society...NOT

So.... are you saying that humanity wasn’t civil before welfare came around?

you grew up as a 4th generation welfare kid, you would not have this view.

Yeah. Well. Sucks for that kid. But, that kid should be put down. As well as it’s several siblings.

It’ll save us a frick ton of money and problems down the road.

You see, we used to kill off our lame and dumb. And our gene pool thanked us for it. Now, we keep people alive for no other reason but to waste money on so they live. They don’t contribute. They don’t help. They are a complete negative on society.

Is it not kinder to end ones suffering before it begins, or to allow one to struggle and live a life of poverty and extend ones suffering to several others?

Affordable housing isn't a "right" in any place.

It's not even possible that it would be a right.

The liberal understanding of what can be a "right" is amazingly ignorant.

If housing is a “ right “ then compelling someone to provide said housing is also a “ right “. This is how Progressives, who don’t understand even the simplest political philosophy, and who think Marx wrote the Constitution, take us from imperfect human Liberty to coercive State enforced “equality”.

Care to elaborate pussy? What’s wrong? Are you one of the weak who would die if we let Darwin do his thing?

You’re a piece of shite who wants children to starve and become uneducated. You support child poverty. You support baby factories pumping out kids for welfare checks. You support using children as a hostage to get more money.

I’m vehemently against children being born into poverty. I’m vehemently against generational welfare.

One of us sees the forest from the trees. The other doesn’t.

So continue supporting the uneducated and dumb having multiple children who will FAIL in life.

You support that. Not me.

Oh, several societies over the years have definitely attempted to make "affordable rent" a right guaranteed by the government.

We all see how that worked out for them.

How do we carry on?

You let the market adjust. The less government interference, the faster the market adjusts. Democrats have lost sight of what drives prices. Supply and demand. Everything can be tied back to it. As prices for rents increase, the consumption will decrease. At some point, prices will drop to compensate for the decreased demand.

Meanwhile we have Dems running around saying we have a housing crisis and that we need to increase subsidies and taxes and god knows what else. The best answer is to just leave it alone and let it adjust on it's own. If it doesn't, some savvy businessman will see an opportunity and take advantage.
